It was our first time in Normandy, and we completely fell in love with the region. I’m so happy we chose this accommodation and this area. It is surrounded by beautiful little villages and countryside that honestly feels like something from a fairy tale.
After spending the day exploring villages, brocante markets and even a vintage car parade, coming back here was exactly what we needed. The accommodation was very peaceful, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels smelled beautifully fresh, and everything we needed was available. There is also a place to cook and lovely outdoor tables where you can enjoy the surroundings.
The location is gorgeous and wonderfully calm, and we had a genuinely relaxing stay while still being close enough to explore so many beautiful places.
The owner was also extremely helpful and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. We followed some of them and had one of the best meals we have ever had.
For us, it was a 10/10 stay. I would be very happy to return to Normandy and would absolutely choose to stay here again.

We just loved the calm location where we could instantly unwind at the start of our holiday. We had hoped for a rural Norman idyll with apple trees and a few farm animals (the promised chickens, donkey, poney) thrown in and that's exactly what we got! And then those night skies! We stayed in a 2-bedroom house that was part of a small group of gîtes, with privacy provided by high hedges. Outside we found relaxing sun loungers and garden furniture for al fresco meals. The interior was very tastefully decorated and we loved the photos that showed the restoration work on "our" house. The large beds were really comfortable (firm but not hard mattresses), the bathrooms were beautifully designed and the showers worked brilliantly. The thick walls kept the heat out and this was a rather hot August, but the house didn't heat up if you kept windows and doors shut during the day. There was ample parking and the contact with the owner was good and helpful. The little village is quite peaceful but only a short drive away from market towns and the coast. We quite hope to be back one day!
Being townies it took us some getting used to leaving the french door of the downstairs bedroom open during the night as there were no windows in that room. But the area seemed so safe that eventually we let the cool night air in after all (and lived to tell the tale:-)...). - Sitting outside in the evenings we found the motion-sensor light over the front door very useful, however, it did attract mosquitos and they would then try to follow us inside. Fly screens might be a useful addition but perhaps that's not possible if the houses are listed.

The property was in a pretty setting in an attractive village within a lovely area. Some of the artwork was very good and the beds were comfortable.
The main thing was that the property we were given was not the one we had booked, i.e. not the one at the top of this page.
The hosts had forgotten that we were coming and we had to wait about one and a half hours for someone to turn up with the key. The person I spoke to on the phone was very apologetic, but his wife, who came to meet us was not.
The property was cold. The electric heater in the main living area downstairs was set to 18 degrees. When I asked how to turn up the heat, I was told that I could not and the heaters would remain at that temperature. Upstairs, they were set at 17.5 degrees.
The garden furniture was rusty and there were no cushions. The owner did bring two deckchairs for us.
Because the house was not the one we originally booked and was much smaller, there was no washing machine, no sofa, just 3 small bedroom type chairs. There was no dishwasher and no oven, both of which we usually like to have. There was also no television. It was cold and uncomfortable and we would not have booked it, had we been shown pictures of the interior and exterior.
Aude, one of the hosts, told us that the property we had booked was being renovated and would not be available until May or June. It should, therefore, not be advertised as available on the website.
We had relied on this property for relaxing 4 night stay, as part of a touring holiday, but we were so disappointed that we left after two nights. We have had no further communication with the hosts and no response to our message saying that we had checked out.
We would appreciate a partial refund, given all the above issues.
