Great location for accessing various areas of York. Clean room, comfortable bed, curtains kept the room dark. Hosts were very friendly. It fit my needs and budget very well. Would definitely stay again.
I want to caveat these negatives by saying that these aren't a huge problem and were not something I needed fixed on my short stay but worth mentioning for other travellers. I still rate highly and would stay again. Room was dated, towel seemed quite old and wasn't fluffy.

"Close to the city centre. A 20 minute walk along side the river.
Owner was very friendly a approachable.
Quieter with the window shut but difficult to do so in hot weather.
