Beautiful settimg and great food at the hotel, lovely bar staff! The walk around the estate is just gorgeous.

Our bedroom could have really used a new mattress. The linen and branded towels were great, but a very uncomfortable sleep because of the old mattress.

Staff very friendly, location good, food was good too. Room was okay needs a little updating - a fresh paint, a bit of a musty smell in the corridors. Bathroom needs updating, shower curtain mouldy and a damp smell - could be due to leaky bath. A comfortable sleep and not a sound at night. The gardens were beautiful to walk around and very well maintained.

The grounds, and the overall ambiance of the hotel. The evening meal and breakfast. The staff.

Had to wait until 4:00 PM to get access to room. The floor creaked undefoot. The complimentary tea & coffee was stored in a press under the tv. The wardrobe was too high. The hangars in the wardrobe were too high for access and could not be detached from the rail to hang clothers. The information booklet was falling apart and bound with one stud the other stud was missing. A small stubby pencil was left for writing. It was very difficult to read anything on the left hand side of the information pages. The writing table and the bedside tables with stained and chipped. The sink in the bathroom was too small and chipped. I could not fit the kettle under the cold tap and had to carry glasses of water from the bathroom to the TV press to fill the kettle. The hot wat tap was loose. The room had a bathtub which was difficult to step in and out of. The bar staff were not trained to make cocktails and when asked for a glass of Redbreast 12 year old whiskey had to wait for 10 minutes until a bottle was found.
