Hotel Paulushof

- The location of the hotel is simply great. Close to a small beach, to the dam (and a place where you can take a small boat to cruse on lakes) and to hiking trails. There is also a nice restaurant just next door (I think it's part of the hotel). Overall, calm and charming. - The whole place was very, very clean - The bed was comfortable - The room (double) and the bathroom were spacious - There is a fridge in the room - There is a fridge and a snack station on the first floor (great idea as I don't think there are grocery shops nearby) - Friendly staff - the whole place gives you a "family and friends" vibe - Nice swimming pool

- There was a smell of men's perfume and cigarettes, on the first day of my stay. This was probably due to the fact that rooms share a long balcony/terrace, where smoking is allowed and the balcony door was partially open - The terrace is shared (no walls separating space for specific rooms), which means that if you leave your door open, someone could look/walk into your room. NOTHING like that happened, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to leave the balcony door open for the night to air the room (I wish I could because it was very hot during the day) - The breakfast was ok but rather basic for this price

Mix of old and new. Very clean. Good location for nature.

Staff is very strict on breakfast times and pretty grumpy.

It is old, might be late 80's beginning 90's for interior and such. The meals I had were oke....but not really great. Staff was underhand, as it is nowadays in this business.
