Building and surroundings are beautiful. Well equipped facilities - pool, sauna etc in addition to the focus on wine.
Attitude of the staff was quite bewildering / bizarre. They gave us some options on wine tasting, we agreed on one and then they decided that they didn’t want to do what we agreed and tried to tell us we were mistaken in our understanding. Very very strange.

Property is beautiful. Was expecting more of a castle feel- it was a nice hotel that was created for the wine making industry as a school.
The chapel in the hill is beautiful. We arrived late and they made a cold cut plate for us which was nice. Breakfast was very good as well. We didn’t have time for a tour but got a lot of info from the front desk staff.
No handicapped access to the entrance- we had to drag our suitcases up the stairs to the front door and no one helped.

Great hotel on outskirts of Tokaj, beautiful grounds, good pool, great staff,
the cellar and wine tasting was superb (all but the sommelier spoke too fast)
trip to Tokaj well worth while, as very quaint village
hotel restaurant food good quality and wine pairings fun, but very limited choices
food options outside hotel very limited and not diverse,
hotel restaurant limited (not offered water, or coffee)
no tea/coffee in room (beginning to think this is normal in Hungary,
breakfast interesting - one day we were 9:30 and choices reduced from other day at 8am

The hotel had good standard facilities as you would expect from something in this price range. Breakfast was good
Communication was disjointed. When I booked I was told the restaurant was not open for dinner on Sunday; when we got there we were asked if we would have dinner there (I had already booked elsewhere because of the previous statement).
We were told checkin was at 2pm but when we arrived our room wasn’t ready in spite of the hotel seeming to be largely empty.
We were told that organising a taxi to dinner would not be an issue; when the time came no taxi was available and the hotel could not suggest an alternative plan.
The above are small things but taken together reduced our enjoyment of our stay and our rating of the hotel.
