The location is great: the restaurants and ski rentals are very close to the hotel; Formigal ski station is a bit further away (be mindful of this). The room was bigger than we expected: ours had a big double bed and also a single bed that had another single bed underneath it that could slide out, so in total 2 single beds and 1 double bed. If you're a big group, this is fantastic and definitely makes the price very reasonable.
If you're going by car, parking next to or near the hotel can be very challenging, especially when it's snowing. I'm not sure if the walls are thin or if the people were simply loud, but there was definitely some noise at night, which wasn't an issue for us (one of the highlights of Formigal skiing is after all the après ski experience), but it could be a problem if you have children or are sensitive to that type of noise.
