Great location, about a 15 min walk into the main part of Oia. Taverna and restaurant in Finikia less than 10 mins away. Supermarket & car hire place 5 mins away. Property is clean and very comfortable. Sea view from every room. Pool area is lovely, very quiet. Delicious breakfast served - pastries, bread & cake, meat & cheese, eggs, fruit, nuts and yogurt and some Greek specials like feta pie. Hospitality from staff is excellent. I’ve stayed twice already and will be back again.

We were very impressed that even though we arrived very early in the morning (before the usual check in) we were welcomed by Anna and offered breakfast. There are options for everyone, and the pastries are really tasty.
There are many cats that join you at breakfast, they are cute but I’m not sure how hygienic it is to let them sit around the dining tables.
Anna explained us how to manage around the island and shared all her tips and tricks in order to have an amazing stay. If you’re interested in going on a boat trip, Maria’s Place can offer you a discount on one of the cruises.
The room was nice and traditional, but I think the bathroom could use some renovation or at least a thorough cleaning (there were stains on the floor, the sink and the ceiling - you can see in the photo attached). The daily cleaning was a bit superficial - towels and trash bins were changed daily, sometimes they would fold your pajamas, but that was about it. The mattress could also be changed because I could feel the springs.
The pool area was very clean, the only problem was the cold water. Also, they offer you beach towels but you can’t change them throughout your stay.
The accommodation is situated right near all the famous attractions that you see on the internet (Blue Domes, Ammoudi Bay etc) - aprox. 10-15 min walk.
Also, there is a bus station nearby (3 min) and a small supermarket.
As far as we’ve discovered, there isn’t a beach with sunbeds and umbrellas at a walkable distance from the accommodation. We had to take the bus to Fira (25-30 min) and then another bus from Fira to the beach (the distance depends on the destination, but in our case it was another 30 min - that if you are lucky and don’t have to wait for the second bus). I guess it depends on how well you inform yourself before booking, but I think it is worth mentioning our experience because it can be a bit tiring after a few days.
