Burleigh Court Hotel

The location is amazing. The staff were very courteous and went out of their way to satisfy our dietary requirements.

Everything was just perfect.

We had a meal in the hotel on the friday which was very good, all food was hot and the staff were lovely and friendly

We stayed in the lodge just before the hotel, positive points were the view, this was outstanding. However the main stay was largely dissapointing, the stairs were so dangerous, no handrail and the stairs moved as you walked down them, my father is 83 and it was actually a worry for him walking down, there should be at least a handrail for people. The shower In the main room didnt work, I raised this with reception (they did offer to come over but everyone was getting ready for a wedding so wasn't appropriate to come in at that time so we showered downstairs) - my dad cleaned the shower head and it worked, so the fault was down to the built up limescale in the head of the shower - the kettle downstairs was also full of limescale and around the lodge was cobwebs - we paid £900 for this stay, you expect it to be of a high standard. Overall i was just disappointed, it really is a wonderful place but standards should be higher.

The location was beautiful, our room was stunning and the restaurant was amazing. Everywhere was so well appointed.

Wanna, our server at breakfast, was friendly and efficient. A real gem, she single-handedly managed orders, clearing of tables and still took time to greet every guest, remembering previous preferences of repeat visitors. Simply incredible

Staff at dinner were really slow in getting us a bigger table when a friend unexpectedly showed up at dinner time. Dinner also took a long time and was rather salty. The room was very stuffy without air conditioning. The tower fan was not effective at all.
