The tranquility of the place, even though the hotel was almost full and the extremely cleanliness. Also the view from the upper swimming pool.

The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, professional and attentive - Olga, Nadia, Natalie and Nicholas. You could tell it was a family run hotel with attention to detail. There were two ways out of the hotel and into town, the scenic route behind the main entrance and the direct route, which was up/down a steep hill. The walk to the beach/town was 6 minutes tops and there were always seats at the beach, hotel pool and local tavernas. The breakfast was authentic Greek and did not variate the two mornings that we were there. My daughter came down with a fever and the hotel provided me with over the counter medication until the pharmacy opened. My other daughter got a splinter and while they did not have tweezers, we found some at the grocery store and the hotel provided us with antiseptic. My teenage children loved the local cats which were a fixture around the hotel grounds. The rooftop pool had amazing views and our veranda provided a spot to relax. Hotel staff checked on us often but not intrusively. We did not want to leave such a relaxing, beautiful and welcoming island!
There was a lot of cleanup/debris scattered around the exterior of the hotel including by the roof top pool. A simple clean up day would help. Towels provided at the pool would have been nice, especially since we were traveling from over seas and then from Athens. I understand the hotel needing renovations, the older furniture was charming and authentic in our opinion, but the veranda door to one of our rooms was stuck and a small glass panel broke while my son was trying to get it open - he cut his leg and was bleeding. I think there must have been a language barrier, because the staff was more concerned with the broken door than my son’s leg and that was the only strike I have against this hotel. We did receive antiseptic when we asked for it and were also offered bandaids, although I already had those. I looked at past reviews and the tricky door were mentioned, so I would recommend the hotel fixing things that can hurt their guests. We would definitely happily stay here again - the experience definitely recharged our family and the hotel staff was exceptional!

Very friendly and helpful staff.decent location about 10 minute walk down to the Main Street and beach,
The bedrooms and especially the bathrooms need updating. Although reception area and pool area are nice and modern they need to update the living accommodation
