The Ship At Dunwich

Nice pub with good food and accommodation was good

Under staffed and not enough resident parking - we left a bag behind , our mistake, but after 5 days of calling and leaving messages we have had no response which has therefore tainted our stay

The Ship was lovely,good position for Dunwich beach.

Excellent position near Dunwich beach and the museum Comfortable bed and large bathroom in the 2 annex ground floor rooms my friend and I were in. Helpful staff and good fish and chips supper. Excellent breakfast.. I had a kipper.

My friend had a query about lost property but it proved very difficult to make contact directly with the hotel management on the ground despite several messages (phone messages. Email messages and an enquiry form message) sent through the hotel chain central reservation number. The reply (negative as it was relayed to me that nothing had been found) was only given by that reception route 3 full days later and I still had to make another call to them myself. At no time did I have a direct ring back or message back from the Ship team itself. This sort of thing should be dealt with speedily and directly by individual member hotels.

The village is a nice piece of suffolk. The staff were attentive.

Our room was the smallest they had, it was dangerous with many steps and ledges with uneven floors to navigate, and we were not warned of this. Some of the food was burnt and portions were small, all was overpriced, they were trying to beta gastro pub.
