Great little find!
Not the most modern of hotels, but spotlessly clean and more than made up with such a friendly welcome. In the best location in Pau.
When I return to Pau I will definitely stay here again

Best location in Pau that you could have. Our window looked out on a square with a fountain and pretty flower beds.
The man at the reception was very polite, nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good for the price.
Although the rooms are dated and in need of renovation, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
The hotel is in need of renovation all over. Everything is old and dated.
But it is suitable as a base for a short stay in Pau. It is also priced accordingly.

Location at heart of Pau (and only 15 mins walk - and funicular ride! - from station) 5 min walk from spectacular view across to the Pyrenees

(Cheese and fresh fruit would have enhanced breakfast)
(As in many French hotels the lift is itself a few steps up from street level! The steps are quite shallow, however)
