Amazing location for sunbears and orangutans Staff were very helpful - helped me to book my river safari

The location is perfect for access to the Orangutan and Sunbear conservation centres and the Rainforest Discovery centre. The gardens are full of flowers and birds and even an orangutan. The staff are incredibly helpful.

Needs a bit of an upgrade

The property is very evocative because it's immersed in the tropical forest, so even just spending some time in its spaces, by the pool, or on the walkways connecting the various parts of the resort, you can have an encounter with nature. We encountered an orangutan, several beautiful birds, and a snake, all just by being there. The property is much larger than we had imagined; it has a system of walkways over the lake and through the jungle that lead to the pool and the various rooms. Outside, you can easily reach the bear sanctuary and the orangutan sanctuary on foot in five minutes. You can also reach the Rain Forest, but it requires a longer walk of about 20 minutes. The property offers every type of service and can arrange anything you need. The management may be Chinese, but it certainly is in its efficiency. Yes, it's a useful base if you want to do anything without too much personal effort; they'll help you with everything. The staff is mostly friendly, some a little cold, but unfortunately, I've found this standard throughout Malaysia. They also organize a night walk in the jungle, which we did, and it was very nice. The guide was very knowledgeable. Breakfast is a buffet and is plentiful; other meals aren't as generous, but overall, they were quite good. Compared to the rest of Malaysia, prices here are generally higher. The luxury of staying in such a well-organized and meticulously managed facility, even in the jungle, comes at a slightly above-average price for everything. Our standard room was very standard. If available, it's best to choose one with air conditioning. There was a fan, however, and we made do with that. In any case, they knew the room only had a fan and was relatively inexpensive. The pool is a little dated and there are few loungers, but it's fine. It's already a privilege to have one here in Borneo at a reasonable price, and it offers excellent refuge during the hours of the exhausting heat.

Great location in the jungle and super close to the orangutan rehabilitation center, good food at the banana restaurant and nice staff

The bathroom had the sink in the shower and it was really old and not super clean. The doors weren't well insulated and had a few centimeters of gap from the floor, so bugs and dust could get in from outside
