Camera curata si bine dotata. Saltelele ar trebui schimbate.
Veneam din Germania pe autostrada si am rezervat camera pentru a sta doar o noapte. Am platit 80 de euro. Am vazut ca check out este la ora 10 AM, o ora ridicola sa dai oamenii afara. Am cerut hotelului sa ma lase sa stau pana pana la 12:00, avand in vedere faptul ca ajung noaptea tarziu si nu am timp sa ma odihnesc. Mi s-a raspuns ca nu pot sa ma lase pentru ca au clienti care asteapta sa se cazeze. Am spus ca check in este la 15:00 si au timp 3 ore sa faca curat. Mi s-a raspuns ca turistii care asteapta vor sa se cazeze mai devreme. M-am enervat maxim auzind aceste lucruri, de parca eu nu sunt client care plateste... Am ajuns la ora 1:30 AM, pana m-am pregatit de somn s-a facut ora 3:00 AM. La ora 09:00 m-am trezit si la 10:00 AM punct am iesit din camera. Am fost intampinat la receptie cu o factura de 9 euro pentru nu stiu ce taxa de oras. M-am enervat si am replicat ca am platit camera cu cardul pe booking.com si nu vreau sa platesc nici un fel de taxe. Am plecat si pe drum am primit tot felul de mesaje cum ca sa platesc acea taxa. Nu am vrut si nu am platit nimic suplimentar.

The Guesthouse is very quaint.
There was a small hick-up with sending us the check-in information, but they ironed it out and we got in (very late) alright!

Overall, the property is ok. It is very clean and for the 3 nights we stayed we had no major complaints (see negative comments below). The hotel is advertised as 4 star however and I expected more.
The lady who runs the property is nice and lets you get on with your stay without much interruption. The kitchen area is very much self-service where you can help yourself to wine, beer, coffee etc. and pay later. There’s no food however (detail below).
The courtyard area with seating is very pleasant for a glass of wine but warning: bring your bug spray in the Summer :) We were eaten alive a few of the group received bad stings from something.
I rate the property down in a few areas..
Room - A little underwhelmed by the room itself (considering the price), no air-con and not a space you would want to spend a lot of time, which in Halbturn you might need to do. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, particularly the sheets during a hot night with no ac.
Value - Including the reasons above, overall I don’t think the price paid for the room was value for money.
Food - There’s no food available on site except for a breakfast spread, which is advertised as “world renowned” but in reality is nothing special. The town itself offers little unless you walk up to the castle (Schloss Halbturn).
Location - Not a fault with the property itself but the town is a ghost town. We were visiting for a wedding in the Schloss but if you weren’t there for a reason it would not be a place to visit. You really need to plan food and trips to shops well as on certain days they may only open a few hours or on others not even at all (hotel didn’t offer any info or advice on this front, would have been helpful).
Checkout - Checkout was advised as 11am but our group were all informed on the morning that “our rooms were needed by 10am” to prepare for other guests arriving. This wasn’t very fair considering what we paid.
