Our room was very tired and lots of things need a paint touch up.

Has AC. That's the most important facility in any hotel in the summer. This hotel has excellent AC and even provided a separate fan. The remote for the AC actually works. The staff is friendly.
Too understaffed to actually help with luggage. No elevator.

The staff were unbelievably helpful and polite. Air conditioning in the room.
The room was at best average. The toilet had no ventilation at all (there was an extractor fan but it wasn't working!) and therefore had an unpleasant smell to it (and it was tiny!)
The shower was over the strangest bathtub I've ever encountered, it looked like it was designed for sitting in but it was tiny too!....
