Excellent one-night stay at Luciano Hotel! The location on Merchants Street is super central, putting you right in the heart of Valletta. You’re sleeping inside one of Valletta’s old urban houses.
We were pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to a bigger room with a lovely view and extra space, which made the stay even more comfortable. The receptionist was warm and welcoming, the staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful. In the morning you use a meal voucher, we chose English breakfast which came with pot of tea, dessert (jam croissant with panna) and fruit. There is a lift, room had an a/c unit which was old but worked ok for our needs. Perfect for a short visit!
Ps. good lunch options at No.43, just down the road from the hotel. Coffee and sweet treats affordable and traditional are at Groce Bonaci.
Ok the street can be noisy in the late evening. Outdated decor, don’t expect anything modern and super efficient.

The location of the hotel is excellent, situated right on the main street with everything just a short walk away.
Breakfast was served directly to our table, with a choice between an English and a Continental menu. We stayed for several days and noticed that the options varied slightly from day to day—for instance, yogurt and croissants were included on some days, but not on others. Overall, the breakfast was rich, plentiful, and offered a great start to the day.
Would definitely recommend!
There was only one chair in the room, which was a bit inconvenient for two people. Also, we couldn't get the TV to work, though we didn't end up asking for help since we didn't really need to watch it anyway.

Great location, the room and the reception are presented well. For location and a short stay it’s was sufficient for my needs.
Breakfast could of been better, limited vegan options. Noise starts early and lots of banging around, on the last night one of the staff members was pacing in the reception area outside the room and then playing with a device that beeped gone way past midnight. On my last night there was a cockroach in the room (it went from the bathroom to the bedroom), they are all over Malta so it wasn’t a surprise but was still unpleasant and caused a disturbed sleep.
