Coconut Lagoon Kumarakom - A CGH Earth Experience

Absolutely gorgeous hotel and resort - one of the loveliest swimming pools of our trip. We felt that all staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help us and check on us. When my little boy was poorly they arranged a trip to the hospital for us and everybody was checking if we needed anything. While initially we didn’t feel their approach to accommodating a vegan diet was what we had hoped for (e.g no alternatives when dishes had butter in, nothing signed) once I raised this I really felt that the restaurant went above and bring to make sure we were well catered to. The complimentary Sunset cruise is also delightful.

Nothing we didn’t like - the only comment would be that the extra charged activities were quite expensive e.g 8000 for all of us to do kayaking seemed like a lot.

The staff was extremely rude and unaccomodating The hotel was inundated and many of the experience were closed because of heightened water level but the hotel staff did nothing to accommodate( except for discount on food ) or plan any alternate , very frankly if the condition of the hotel was such the property should have given option to cancel since I found it extremely unsafe given the condition it was, most of the property was flooded and I was scared to walk around out of risk of electrocution and slipping (Infact I slipped and fell once hurting my ankle and back) . This was one of the worst hotel experiences and also one of the most expensive The only upside was it was beautiful no doubt and the nature walk in the morning was genuinely worth it!
