Location - Makarora is a spectacular location at the north end of Lake Wanaka. Facilities were older but well kept.
Upper bathroom needs an interior release on the entry door. Signs ask folks to latch door when leaving, but that means you can lock someone inside (we had that happen to a neighbor). Easily fixed - just needs an interior latch handle... Otherwise, the facility was great.

Spacious. All facilities in one place. Cosy. Comfy double beds. Beautiful part of NZ.
Tired around the edges but that’s also part of its charm.

Conveniently located
Quite dated, all correspondence was by email. It was a bit confusing about what was open in the vicinity
