Spacious clean and good value room

The location was fine, just one street back from the waterfront. The room was a good size, light bright and airy, with an excellent bathroom. Good value for money. Overall very good accommodation. A kitchenette was fitted with enough for basic self catering exactly as described.

The smoke alarm/ censor in the ceiling above the bed had a small light that kept flashing at regular intervals through the night. But this wouldn't be a problem for most people.

Rude and unwelcoming - very unprofessional for an operator who brags about his business running a variety of properties

Location was ideal - close to all the eateries and retail

We received a very rude welcome on arrival, from the Motel Manager. We hadn’t uttered a word when we were rudely advised check in was not available. The lack of ability to check in wasn’t an issue (we were prepared for this), however he seemed to resent our attempt at an early arrival time (an hour early) - this despite the motels invitation to inquire if we were early (via a pre-arrival welcome message). We were surprised by the rudeness, which was entirely unnecessary, and made worse by his apparent lack of awareness of his demeanour - a surprise for someone in such a role… We put this attitude down to his treatment of Booking.com guests (however the reason (if any) for the rude welcome was not clear, and this may not be the case - in the end we put it down to operational stress). Whatever it was - unprofessional for a motel operator to act in this way, and it’s inexcusable - we won’t be back, nor would we recommend this motel to anyone.

The location was very handy and the room was nice and warm and quiet, great water pressure

The shower head was loose and did not stay in the right place as it kept tipping over and pointing at the floor, power switch for spa bath was a bit hard to operate(had to give it a bang to switch it on. No milk for Tea/Coffee

Fine for 1 night but a bit disappointing.

Good location close to town.

Room was generally in good condition but the carpet had numerous stains on it.

Great location. Rooms were lovely and a decent size. They had everything we needed.

Check in proved difficult. I let them know our time of arrival in advance, we arrived in that time frame but no one was there at the desk but had a number to call. I tried calling the number twice with no answer, I then googled their landline number and tried ringing that, still no answer. So I started walking round to try and find a staff member, while I was doing this someone then arrived at the desk. From arrival to check in was about 15 mins which was frustrating after a long drive. Even during check in we weren't shown which direction our room was in or told anything about the place. Also if you are a smoker you have to go to a corner of the car park to smoke, which is fine but there is no cover in the pouring rain. I did feel for the price of the place that the service did let us down.

Call and speak with the motel before booking

Clean. Badic. Comfortable beds. It's not bad kitchen stuff. Nearby Cafes and restaurants. The town is small and very nice.

I guess the description of the two-room en-suite bathroom is inaccurate or at least deceptive. It is a two-room apartment with one shared or common bathroom. I took the ensuite to mean a bath in every room. To be sure, one must call and ask about the room beforehand. The description is not sufficient.

close to all activities

Great location. Comfortable unit. Enjoyed having a spa bath!

Interrupted long before checkout by cleaner putting head thru open door and talking loudly to ask us to keep door open when left - would have been nice if she had knocked.

decent place to stay, just request ground floor room if you have children

decent sized room, good location and friendly staff

upper floor room we had didn’t have security locks on any windows, not very safe for young children, especially having a single bed next to a window
