Wouldn't recommend going as a family during hot weather. Location is nice though.

Building and general areas are pretty.

Room (no. 05) was very small. Floor was very dirty, stains on curtains and chair. It doesn't have AC, so it was super hot — they could only provide a rickety fan that barely stood up. Breakfast was poor, but the effort to put up something that looked like standard hotel buffet was cute. Second round of croissants was raw and unedible. Shower water took ages to warm up and randomly got cold. Only one key per room was provided, and doors were openable from the hallway if unlocked. After insisting staff was able to provide a second key though.

It was a comfortable stay overall.

The location was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The toilet space was quite small. But, I guess that depends on the rooms.

Perfect place to stay in Coimbra!

Easy check-in, welcoming staff, very clean, quiet and comfortable room, beautiful and elegant building, and excellent breakfast.

Good location as a starting point for sightseeing. Very clean, comfortable beds.

Access complicated due to street repair works in the area. Small rooms.

Fine room

The receptionist was so kind and helpful. Room was fine also. A bit warm actually, but had a fan. Bed fine. Bathroom fine.

Hotel Good for an overnight stop (Shower, Bed and reasonable location)

Location OK, room a bit basic (space for the toilet very small!), but given the price, value for money OK.

All you need for a short stay for a reasonable price

Ideal location, just in the middle of everything, has everything you might need for a short stay, good value for the money.

A little bit tired off, but still good, so I can’t say I didn’t like it!

Comforting, best location and sweet staff.

Tv had the Disney Channel, there was a nice heater, the bed was comfy and the pillows too! Warm covers, nice windows and they close both with door and curtain. The room had a great isolation from the cold/heat. And they lock the front door for our safety after 11PM (they have a doorbell to open the door to guests who are out after 11PM).

I liked everything.

Superb

Perfect stay in this hotel. It is located in an old and very beautiful building. This building has recently been renovated so it all looks very clean and fresh. There is no elevator, but the staff proposes to carry your luggage. The staff is very friendly. The spontaneously want to help you or have a conversation. The reception was amazing. It all made me feel very welcome. That is rare nowadays. For me the most important thing is cleanliness. Often hotels in lower price ranges are acceptable, but a little old and dirty. This place was 100% clean.I felt at ease, just like home. In the end this was just perfect. Most hotels in this price range are bad or average, but not this one. It was by far the best place I was in Portugal. I am always happy to be in a small local place. This is much better than a soulless chain like the Ibis hotel next doors. Choose this place and support local people! All that for a low price So 5 👍👍👍👍👍 from me.

the room is essential and nice like the common area of the hotel

the bathroom need to be renovate, no shower and air conditioning in the room. A lots of stairs and no lift.

End may is not a good period due to the concerts.

The hotel is not far from the trainstation. The room was comfortable as also the bed, but there were no hooks or chairs to put the clothes. It was very clean. We did not find any hairdryer. Unofrtunately there was a concert so we couldn't sleep very well but this is not the hotel's fault.

There were some things missing in the room and in the bathroom that would have make it really comfortable.

Friendly staff, remarkable building and great value for money.

The hotel is in a very good location, within walking distance from the city centre. The room was big and over looking the river. The staff was very friendly

The only negative is that the hotel is on the main road, so traffic noise is quite loud. They also have rooms in the back that are quieter but these ones have no view.

Good price in an expensive city

Location is excellent but read below. The woman in charge was excellent and very helpful. The hotel had a nice feel to it

Location will be excellent again when the works across the road at the river are finished (2 years?) - at the moment you cannot see or get to the river without a long detour
