La Résidence du Bailli

Its location is perfect, a few steps to the beach, which we love. The little terrace and garden area is lovely as this year we were on the ground floor as opposed to the first floor where we stayed in 2025. The kitchen area is well equipped and well planned out with a decent sized fridge. The apartment was clean.

This is the second time we have stayed here, we last stayed in 2025. The apartment we stayed in this year was looking a bit ‘tired’ compared to the one we stayed in in 2025. There is also hardly any wardrobe space, 1 rail of about a metre wide with a vaccum cleaner also being stored in there. The other side of the wardrobe has some very narrow shelves inside, only suitable for some toiletries, not clothing. As a result we ended up leaving most of our clothes in our suitcases. There was no iron or ironing board in the room, my husband used the communal iron and ironing board in the laundry room and it leaked water all over the shirt he was trying to iron. In addition the gardners at the Baillie de Suffren were using an electric leaf blower every morning for hours to clean the steps and areas from the hotel down to the beach, it was very noisy and annoying when we were trying to enjoy what should have been a peaceful environment listening to the waves and we suggest the gardners are asked to use a brush rather than a machine to do the same job! For an apartment at €300 per night we were expecting a better experience.

Die Lage mit kurzem Zugang zum Strand ist sehr schön, ebenso wie der (seitliche) Meerblick vom Balkon im 1. OG. Gutes Strandrestaurant und Rabatte auf Strandliegen für die Residence-Kunden. Sehr gut funktionierende und leise Klimaanlage.

Die Ausstattung ist eher einfach. Der eine kleine Kleiderschrank war mit einem (defekten) Staubsauger zugestellt. Es gab lediglich 4 (auch noch unterschiedliche) Weingläser, eines davon angeschlagen. Unser Anspruch an eine ****-Unterkunft wurde da nicht erfüllt.

Die Lage war schön und ist alles vor Ort was man braucht.

Etwas eng und das Sofabettbezug wurde nicht regelmässig gereinigt.
