Lovely hotel in a great location and private underground parking
Try and find reception, go on I challenge you to find the reception, it first points you in the direction to go up in the lift and when you walk out of the lift it directs you down the staircase to where you was two minutes ago… it’s a great way to me people who also couldn’t find reception …. when you do eventually find reception and get your room key the room number is on the floor/carpet not on your door which took a while to work out … maybe we had been sat in the sun a bit too long that day but the reception thing does need better directions.

We liked the breakfast all the more since they put us in the bar because of the dog. My wife likes sparkling wine and smoked salmon for breakfast... as per the Russian expression: only aristocrats and degenerates drink in the morning. There was a microwave to heat the pancakes. That's always a plus. The breakfast staff was very nice. As I called ahead before booking, there were no issues with our pet. As per the information I received by phone from the Excellence call centre, she was allowed at breakfast albeit outside the main breakfast area. Fine with me. The main breakfast area was very noisy.
I was very disappointed by the reception staff. They only seemed interested in filling out the requisite paperwork and collecting the extra fee for our dachshund. I remarked that there was no direct access by car to the hotel and that the establishment appeared to be on several levels making baggage handling a chore. No reaction. The thin girl with glasses at the reception merely took us outside and pointed here and there to the various access points to the hotel, how to get to our room, where the spa and breakfast areas were located. You would think that staff would show you to your room in a boutique hotel. Later in the day, I saw the same girl giving other guests... older guests with lots of baggage and obvious mobility issues going through the same routine. When I asked for a cart for my bags, reception staff had no clue where it was and did not go looking for it. I eventually found my room in the maze and a service door that gave out directly on to the public parking lot. My wife had to hold the door because it could only be opened from the inside. On parking... the hotel has its own parking but the roof is only 1.95m and access is very narrow. For my VW California, this was not an option. They don't bother to send you the dimensions of the covered car park when they request by e-mail or sms that you reserve and pay for a spot prior to your arrival.
