About this house rental
Situated in Oneonta, this lovely house for $250 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Please note: During "Baseball Season," I can only rent for the six days that you are scheduled to play. I apologize for the inconvenience. Feel at home at Drake's Escape cozy three bedroom house. Located on a dead end street with a large yard, it is perfect for relaxing and play. A perfect choice for families visiting our area who want to be close to local attractions. Only minutes from the mall and downtown. 2.7 miles from Cooperstown All Star Village, 16.5 miles from Cooperstown Dreams Park and 21.5 miles from the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Close to SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick College and the hospital. Additionally, house includes 125 channels of Cable TV and wireless high speed internet throughout the home. The pavilion in the back is ready for your use to BBQ and have gatherings. Be aware the pavilion is a shared space for all three properties. Be prepared to make new friends. There is plenty of space for all! The two cabins out back are also part of our rentals. The large yard is shared by all!

We traveled from the Pacific Coast to visit future family for Thanksgiving. The home was just what we needed for a group of four. We used the kitchen to help prepare dishes for the meal. Great place.

We enjoyed our time at Drake's Escape. I stayed with my children and grandparents for my son's tournament week at All Star Village. The property was as pictured and very clean. Linda was easy to work with. We were able to drive to the fields in about 10-12 minutes. We loved watching the storms from the porches.

We stayed here with our 3 younger kids while our oldest played at All Star Village. It was a close drive to ball fields (10ish minutes) and near restaurants, grocery store, Dick's (in case your son forgets his belts too!) etc. Due to the baseball schedule and rain we didn't get to explore the town much but ice cream at Adaline's was delicious and pizza/food at Nina's was yummy. Had some sushi from Tokyo and it wasn't the best.
We met the "neighbors" staying at the other Drake property our last day and wish we had met them sooner, but...baseball and rain! So fun to be near other families there for the same reason.
Kitchen was well stocked, condiments and all. Very clean. Great yard!
Linda was a great host! She was there when we checked in and when we left. Available via text - I was looking for something one evening and texted her and her daughter brought it over from across the street! So sweet!
No toiletries, so bring your own shower necessities!

Our family booked this property literally at the last minute when our original VRBO booking was not in serviceable condition. I messaged Linda our situation and within 15 minutes she answered back that she was happy to accommodate us. Within one hour of me messaging her we were moved into the property. I can't believe how easy they made it for us. The property was clean, fresh, and in the right location, only 10 minutes away from All Star Village. There is plenty of space for a team gathering on the property and Linda actually encouraged us to bring them over! Five stars for everything except communication and check-in. For those, if I could 100 stars I would. Our trip would have been spent sleeping on the floor of a teammates VRBO if it wasn't for Linda and this property! Thank you so much!!!

The house is exactly as described, the large kitchen made meal prep a breeze and three comfortable bedrooms were the perfect resting place after long days a CASV. The property and pavilion is perfect for hosting team gatherings and some other families from the team rented the other two cabins so we used the backyard quite a bit for bbq's and hanging out. Linda and family were very welcoming and responsive. This property was perfect for our stay and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

This property has a lot of amenities to offer. If you think you are going to be on-site for any significant amount of time this property you will have plenty to do. Linda communicates well and is available if needed. We would definitely consider renting this property if we ever return for another stay.

Was an amazing set up for teams families to stay near each other.
The set up with the two cottages on site is awesome. We stayed in the house and had other families from The team in the cottages it worked out great for a team gathering. Tons of space for lots of families to enjoy. The house is in a great location and Linda was very helpful and was there if we needed anything. Would highly recommend this place.

We rented this property to watch my son play at All-Star Village. It was 10-15 minutes away depending on traffic. Great quiet neighborhood. Host was amazing!

Beautiful yard and pavilion for our baseball team gatherings!
Our host Linda was amazing! She gave us great recommendations for local food spots and points of interest. She was always super quick to respond and the house was spotless. The house was very comfortable and had a huge kitchen. We loved the super large backyard which had a tire swing and basketball hoop too. Would definitely recommend this spot!

The location is perfect - about 10 minutes to the ASV baseball fields and just 5 minutes to downtown Oneonta. The property is on a huge lot with a beautiful pavilion that is perfect for hosting team parties. Our entire team and all families came over for 2 different nights to grill and hang out. We had close to 60 people and there was more than enough space for everyone to eat, hang out, and the boys played wiffleball and basketball.
I would definitely stay here with a number of other families if I came back (unfortunately, this is my youngest so we won't be able to play Cooperstown again). Take a look at her other 2 listings and book with your team's families!

A Week at All Star Village
Great stay while we were watching my son at Cooperstown All Star Village. So nice to have a house to come back to after a long day at the field! The kitchen, grill and washer and dryer were life savers. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at Drake’s Escape while our son was at Cooperstown All Star Village, a 10 minute drive away. The house was immaculate and provided the comforts of home while we were there. Conveniently located near shopping and restaurants with a beautiful neighborhood for my nightly walk. Linda was very responsive to us during our stay and was an excellent host. We had a good stay at this property. It was convenient to All-Star Village, had a big backyard, good wi-fi and was very clean. Linda was responsive and easy to deal with.

Clean and comfortable home
Linda was kind enough to rent us her home when we needed someplace closer to stay for SUNY's graduation weekend. This is an older home, which I love, but was modernized and well appointed with all the comforts of home, including fast internet, and a newer bathroom with shower on the first floor. The home was very clean, and quite roomy. While located in a quiet area of town, it is minutes away from the colleges, Main Street and shopping areas. It was a pleasure renting from Linda, and I would not hesitate to do so again should our travels take us back to Oneonta in the future.

Convenient location to downtown Oneonta, located in a quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and comfortable. Roomy for a family or group. We traveled with our one year old son to meet friends, and appreciated a high chair that was made available. With a fully equipped kitchen and linens, it was a perfect home away from home!

We enjoyed our stay at Drake's escape. The house was warm and clean, beds were comfortable, roomy kitchen/dining area for cooking, hanging out, playing cards. It was the perfect space for our family get together. Only problem was the driveway and sidewalk to the steps was very icy and treacherous. We could also have used a few more wash clothes in the bathrooms. Otherwise everything was great.

Drake's Escape handled all my family members needs while on vacation.
Drake's Escape had everything my family needed while on vacation, places to sit and relax, enough space to be together and enough space to spread out, a large kitchen with room for everyone, where food was cooked and great conversations were had. The house was minutes from Cooperstown. Linda was available to contact for anything and she sent ideas of places to go and let us know about some things in the house that we may not have known were there. This was a very good choice for my family and I would highly recommend this selection.

Quiet little house for kids to play in the yard.
We enjoyed our stay. We had a son playing at the Cooperstown Allstar Village (About 10min drive). Our other children were able to run and play in the backyard and have some room to play rather than a hotel. Everything you need is in the house for your use. Nothing fancy, just a nice place to stay and kickback while running back and forth to the ball park.

Great getaway.
We really enjoyed our stay at Drake's escape. It was quiet, roomy, very clean and had everything we needed. We were there to visit Cooperstown and it was an easy drive away. Our grown sons had fun playing catch in the backyard and watching a playoff game in the evening. Linda was kindly available if we needed any thing.

Wonderful Weekend Adventure
We came up for the Susquehanna Balloon festival and stayed at Drake's Escape. This was the perfect solution for the weekend. The house was super clean, had amazing photography all throughout that was taken by the owner, centrally located to everything in town and even had a grill out back for our BBQ. The house has lots 'of space and next year we might even bring some out of town crew, It was nice to still have the 'at home' feel. This was my first time staying in a whole house and I will DEFINITELY be doing it again.
