Breakfast was fantastic. The view of restaurant was great and a lot of variety of Japanese style foods were prepared.
I love to be here when I have to stay in Kokura.
Room was a bit old but it was okay.
The general English speaking level of receptionist. They can communicate with general informations, breakfast time, parking, etc. But if you need to communicate something special request with them, we need to use Japanese translator. But they were kind enough.
Bed was slightly short for me.

The property has a charming aesthetic from the garden to the bath and bedroom. The bed and pillows were very, very comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the station, and along the way there’s a chance to visit local markets and the castle. The staff is very helpful and attentive.

The garden was lovely and the ok’d and worn mattress comfortably soft by Japan standards
The room decor was very dated and dirty marks on walks and doors. Had to get an additional lamp as room was dark, have now experienced the most worn out and paper thin towels in all of Japan at this hotel. Staff were helpful and very polite though. Very slippery marble floor in bathroom and quite difficult to get into and out of the high bath which had fixed glass panels as well as a sliding opening.
