We loved Ortigia and the location of this apartment was excellent- very close to all things: the sea, the Diana fountain, grocery store right across the street, laundry too. The space was large enough for a family of 4: 2
Queen beds, big shower, little balcony to sit on, two couches, etc. Kitchen was big enough to actually make meals, and actually had a dishwasher. Also, the washing machine was very handy, drying rack also included.
We found it easily, the instructions given by host were very good. It’s above a quaint little jazz bar, Dada, that we never found loud.
The space was designed and styled to be very hip and modern, but things were either falling apart or not cleaned and many appliances were quite shoddy. The bathroom shower needs updating as there was mold and rust (maybe from the water?) all over the edges, doors and bottom lining. The bathroom sink was stained, as was the kitchen table. White not be the best choice for a rental? The ‘modern’ taps, finishings etc might just not have the durability needed for a rental- lots of things need replacing. The floor had some parquet pieces missing in numerous places so you had to be careful with bare feet.
I think also with the quick turnovers they don’t have the time to properly clean? The kitchen wasn’t the cleanest when we arrived and there was dust in bedrooms, closets, and on floors other than traffic areas.
It wasn’t a deal breaker as we enjoyed our stay but these are things that others should know before renting.

Great location, great size and really comfortable. The washing machine was much needed!
Not much at all

Excellent location to explore Ortigia. Lovely little balcony off the kitchen. Spacious apartment. Great to have a washing machine. Convenient supermarket directly opposite apartment.
There is some renovations being done on neighbouring apartments and on the church at the end of the street which was at times a little noisy. Main bedroom bed was very firm.
