Location fine, breakfast good, room practical and clean.
Loud student groups at night ( room 16 was just next to the entrance hall. Long breakfast lines because of groups.

First, I would like to mention the receptionist who welcomed me (unfortunately I don't remember her name). She was so kind, patient and gave me an upgrade to a female-only room, which I really appreciated. I also liked the room itself, the bed, pillow and blanket were comfortable. The shower was great, and I liked that the toilet and shower were in separate rooms, which made things much more convenient. The location is also very good (less than 15 minutes walking from the train station and around 20 minutes from the city center) making it easy to explore Weimar on foot
The only thing that affected my experience was the room temperature. During my stay it was around 30°C outside, and the room became extremely warm. There was a heating/cooling unit in the room, but it didn't seem to be working. Opening the window only really helped later in the evening, after around 9 PM when the outside temperature became cooler. However, there was still quite a lot of noise outside (children playing and shouting), which can make it difficult for people who prefer to sleep early.

Excellent breakfast - I have to eat a Gluten Free diet and was well catered for.
The hostel was a stop over point on a journey from UK to Slovakia, so was serviceable and what we needed as a family.
The heat required us to open windows, but noise outside meant sleeping wasn't easy. The room was still hot in the morning, even though the weather outside had cooled down.
The staff were excellent, helpful, patient and spoke English, which helped as my German is awful.
Limited parking.
