Wir waren für 10 Tage in Vassili’s Studios. Die Lage war für uns perfekt — nur 10 Minuten von der Türe bis zum wunderschönen Santa Barbara Strand. Und wenn man faul ist, dann findet man ein paar sehr gute Tavernen / Restaurants in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß, bei einem Minimarkt ist in ebenfalls gleich ums Eck. Es lässt sich dort auch ohne Mietauto gut urlauben (wir hatten eins, was ratsam ist, wenn man ein wenig Abwechslung sucht). Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl — wir brauchen kein schickes Strandressort sondern eine unaufgeregte Bleibe. Die haben wir gefunden. Es war super sauber. Ein Lob der Reinigungskraft. Handtücher und Bettzeug wurde regelmäßig gewechselt, damit haben wir gar nicht gerechnet. Da es sehr heiß und schwül war, waren wir sehr froh über die gut funktionierende Klimaanlage. Da es dichte Fliegengitter gibt, hätten wir auch bei offenen Fenstern und Balkontüre schlafen können. Das Studio selbst, wir waren im ersten Stock mit Balkon, ist sehr gut geplant, gut ausgestattet und auch gut eingerichtet. Die Küche in unserem Appartment war moderner, als auf den Fotos (wenngleich wir nur den Kühlschrank, mit großem Tiefkühlfach benutzten…). Vassili ist ein guter Gastgeber: Check-in und Check-out haben wunderbar geklappt, als es einmal ein Problem mit dem Wasser gab, das aber die ganze Gegend betraf, war Vassilis gut erreichbar und hat sofort reagiert. Das ist beruhigend und gut zu wissen.
Eigentlich war alles in Ordnung und es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Einzig: Wir haben beim Duschen immer aus der Duschtasse gepritschelt, weil der Duschvorhang recht kurz war. Das kann aber auch an unserer Ungeschicklichkeit liegen. Wenn wir vom Abendessen zurückkamen, war der Boden im Badezimmer schon wieder trocken...

Location was perfect. Lots of beach bars and restaurants in a few minutes walking distance - good food and a fun greek-night in one bar for a night with local dances. We were in Corfu in high season (start of August) when other regions in Corfu were heaving with tourists. In this region (south, but not as far as Kavos which is another busy region), it felt clam, relaxed, we didn't feel we were getting squeezed for money all the time - food prices were cheaper and the vibe was very chilled. Easy drive to other areas in Corfu but this was our favourite area (3rd visit to Corfu). The local beach was beautiful - we didn't want to stay where all the sun umbrellas were clustered just in front of the bars but we easily walked a few minutes one way or the other up the beach and found quiet spaces to stay where there were hardly any other people near us. Sun umbrellas were free for anyone who bought anything from the beach bars/cafe. Great sunsets and plenty of spaces to eat/drink cocktails or the very good and cheap local wine (5e for 500ml). The studio was about 5 mins walk to the beach. Nice shower outside to hose down at the apartment so don't tread sand in. Easy car parking just outside. Kept immaculately clean, daily cleaning, checks on need for towels and bedding changes. Very friendly lady doing the cleaning. Close to big supermarkets with delicious local food so easy to keep cost down if needed. Really peaceful even though it was full when we came. This was our first holiday as a couple for 20 years after our kids have just grown - so whilst we adore kids, we weren't up for the screaming-up-and-down kids type of holiday this time and this was quiet so fit that bill for us well. There were some kids and families there and naturally some voices but because there wasn't a swimming pool and activities geared towards kids in the actual studio, it stayed peaceful.
Would have been good to have a separate seating area inside the house. Mosquitoes were a thing so sitting on the balcony outside was difficult past 6pm. That wasn't the studios fault though! Much less mosquitoes sitting by the beach bars till the mosquito hours passed!

Mi è piaciuto molto che la camera fosse molto tranquilla, con una bellissima terrazza e vicina alla spiaggia.
La signora che ci ha accolto e faceva le pulizia, è molto gentile, disponibile e super brava.

Velmi příjemná lokalita kousek dál od moře. Nejbližší pláž dostupná asi 300m pěšky, nádherná dlouhá pláž s restauracemi u vstupu (a lehátkami zdarma pro hosty restaurací). Možnost jít dál po pláži a najít si své klidné prázdné místo, což jsme velmi ocenili a líbilo se nám. Moře čisté a krásné. Parkování zdarma u ubytování. Asi 50m od ubytování, v podstatě hned vedle, úžasná taverna Barbados s výborným jídlem a domáckým přístupem. :-) Možnost tam také zakoupit pár základních věcí z potravin a drogerie. Nejbližší větší obchod s potravinami (supermarket) dostupný cca 10min autem.
Pokoje čisté, zařízení už trošku něco pamatuje, ale vše plně funkční a naprosto dostačující. Kuchyňka dobře vybavená pro základní vaření, postele pohodlné. Velmi ochotný a příjemný pan majitel s nímž se dalo domluvit vše, co bylo potřeba. Rádi se opět vrátíme.
