Very clean and well maintained!!
The property reminded me of Napa or the hill country, with lots of trees, hills, bird song and butterflies. Very tranquil!!
All the staff were very welcoming and kind. Nicola was very informative about the area and sent us WhatsApp messages to share restaurant recommendations and beaches.
The older gentleman whose name I have forgot was wonderful and charming. Again very knowledgeable on the area and just a pleasure to meet and chat with. The breakfast was fresh and all homemade. Fruits, yoghurt, baked goods, eggs any style with bacon. Juices, teas, coffees. All served on a shaded patio.
Such a secluded but lovely atmosphere and relaxing. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. I would only say that a blanket for the bed would be good just for that snuggle feeling versus just a sheet. (yes I know it was summer but when you have the AC on to keep cool at night, a blanket is good just for the weight) that’s not a complaint in any shape or form, just a helpful hint!
My only personal dislike was lots of flies in the area where food was and on food.
Obviously this is not something that is easy to deal with as it’s in the middle of a woodland area. However screens and keeping doors closed may help and cover food with domes. Did not stop us from enjoying breakfast.
Also should have booked another 1-2 nights. Plus missed the evening meal as we left. Would have loved to taste the fresh homemade food!

Nicola the owner has created a hidden gem at Shanti. Spotless and very comfortable accomodation. Extremely helpful tips on the local area. Shanti offers locally sourced, very high quality, authentic cuisine. We highly recommend the evening dinner. Both nights we stayed were excellent. What an amazing chef he has. We highly recommend booking Shanti for a very special experience

Everything was astounding: Nicola and his staff have created a very homely environment at Shanti perfect to relax and unwind. The breakfast was always delicious with a wide range of options, as well as the dinners when they were hosted at Shanti. Nicola gave us great tips on how to enjoy our stay in Gargano. We also enjoyed the proximity to Umbra forest and Vieste, from which we took a boat tour to visit the south coast on one of the days.
