We will definitely, go back, there is so much more to explore in the vicinity

We much enjoyed the peace and tranquility of our view from the window and the wildlife just outside and no boat or swimmer allowed in the lake. The breakfast was excellent and the ability to cater for yourself if you wish to do so was very helpful. Accessibility was also good as I am disabled.

Very enjoyable last minute short stop on our way home. Very glad we found it.

Beautiful location just outside of the town. Hosts were fantastic.

No aircon but fan provided.

Wonderful hosts, wonderful location, wonderful breakfast, small room.

The location is superb. We were held up on our journey to Belgium and arrived nearly 2 hours late however, Magalie waited for us and we were still warmly welcomed. Magalie also kindly called a local restaurant and made a reservation for us so we were able to have an evening meal. Magalie and Carl are absolutely fabulous hosts. Their command of numerous languages is astonishing and they both make you feel very much at home. We simply cannot speak more highly of them both. The breakfast which they provided was excellent, and we had the best tea that we had had since leaving home. The view from the dining room is absolutely stunning and really sets you up for the day.

We found the room to be very small with the sink and shower up a narrow stairway. There was insufficient space for us to open our suitcase properly so we left it in the car, and there was no wardrobe space, only a a few hangers on a rail under the stairs. We travelled through France and Belgium and this was by far the smallest room we stayed in. The room was very hot although we were provided with a fan which helped. The bed was very comfortable though and we were only staying for two nights so it was ok. For a longer stay though, it would not have suited.

Everything was to be liked, the location, the hotel itself, the staff, and definitely Everything in between.

The only thing missing was air conditioning for this hot summer weather.

Loved it !

Great setting on the lake/pond. Perfect location with easy access to town + Menin Gate. The Mrs was happy :) too.

Cannot complain about anything at all. However, note that if you book the 'King' room - it's got 2x single beds bumped up to each other.

Excellent value for money, beautiful spot and fantastic hosts. We will be back!

Wonderful couple of evenings. We stayed in Chambre D’eau, fantastic view of the lake, the weather wasn’t kind but that didn’t spoil it. Marjelie kindly offered her services as a taxi to take us and pick us up from Ypres centre on the first night due to the rain but we walked it the second evening, takes around 20 mins. Breakfast was a lovely continental breakfast with plenty of choice and fresh rolls and pastries overlooking the lake.

Gorgeous room, beautiful location, highly recommended

Perfect location right on a beautiful lake and walking distance to Ypres, gorgeous room, it took our breathe away when we arrived, lovely, helpful owners and the breakfast was perfect overlooking the lake …. we will be back!

Very comfortable accommodation in a great location.

The location was excellent to visit the war memorials and Leper. The accommodation was fantastic - it was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. It was very peaceful sitting on the balcony overlooking the lake. Everything was excellent.

The location is beautiful, with amazing views and a short walk from Ypres centre. It takes 30 minutes to walk to Ypres centre, which is again is stunning with local history, restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend this place if your in Ypres. Carl and Magalie are most welcoming and nothing is to much trouble, speak English and will help you with the local area. The room we had on the ground floor was lovely, clean and the bed most comfortable king size. That view 😍 in fact we never shut the curtains fully why would you. Breakfast is a continental type, good, fresh and more available if needed. Thank you, Carl and Magalie for a wonderful stay.

The room was a little smaller than I thought, no trouble for our 3 night stay and didnt take away the beauty of it all. No wardrobe.

Beautiful area in a very good location close to Ypres town and surrounding battlefield memorials.

only a small issue which didn’t effect our stay. The single beds are euro singles so they aren’t very big

Amazing location, great design

The location and view of the lake is absolutely amazing. Worth every penny. Good mini bar with selection of specialty beers.

The outside temperature was above 30 Celsius so it got quite hot under the roof.

Beautiful lake setting half an hour walk from Ypres

It's a really beautiful location by the lake and within walking/cycling/driving distance of Ypres. We rented bikes from the property which were modern and comfortable and cycled around the lake. The only things around are farms and nature. Breakfast was good and the owners were really friendly and helpful. We left a phone charger in the room and the owner came to find us in Ypres to give it back. Would definitely recommend.
