Quiet countryside venue, nice cosy cottage feel. Ideal for a short stay to explore the area.
Main bed was a bit tired, pillows didn't smell clean. The second bedroom with 2x singles was cleaner with newer sheets.

We were welcomed with a freshly cut daffodils on the table, home backed lemon drizzle and a pint of milk in the fridge. To me little touches like this make a huge difference 😀

Very rural location, although on Gatwick flight path.
Comfortable bed. Good accessibility with just two steps up to decking area.
Great location for Sussex attractions.

The entry in Booking.com clearly stated a wi-fi connection. It should be made clear on any promotional material that because of the rural situation this is still supplied by copper wire, not fibre or equivalent and barely at dial up speed. Young people wanting to play games, etc., would be very disappointed indeed!
Telephone mobile connection was also intermittent, which had l known, perhaps as a more mature couple, this may not have been ideal in the event of emergency.
Check in at 5pm no earlier on the coldest weekend of 2022. It took 12 hours to bring the lodge to a reasonable comfortable temperature. Just 6 logs provided and matches. I had requested if we could purchase additional wood burner suitable fuel but never got a reply from host. The air was chilled, we sat under the duvet on the first night with a hot water bottle.
Would suggest suitable therefore for those with no underlying health conditions, despite the single storey accommodation.
