We had such a lovely stay at Margarita Studios. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. What really made the difference was Mrs Margarita herself, so warm and welcoming, she made us feel like family from day one. Her sons were also incredibly helpful with anything we asked. Great location too, everything in Palaiochora within easy walking distance. We left feeling like we were saying goodbye to a friend, not a host.
Honestly, nothing worth mentioning. If I had to say something, only that six nights felt too short.

Το κατάλυμα ήταν πεντακάθαρο, σε πολύ καλό σημείο, δίπλα στις παραλίες! Οι ιδιοκτήτες πολύ φιλόξενοι και πρόθυμοι να μας βοηθήσουν!

Superb location
For the high price, I expected at least a few basics, such as some soap, some tea or coffee (equipment was there), some information about the facilities and area, etc., but there was nothing at all - not even the WiFi code.
I did request a short extension (under an hour) for check-out, but this was flatly refused by reminding me of the checkout time! Fair enough, but it lacked any warmth.
At these prices, I expect more. Of the four other places in Crete I stayed, this stood out for the reasons above. All the others were cheaper (even a stunning place in the heart of Chania old town), friendly, and with extensive facilities.
So - great location, very clean, functional, but that's it.
