It was a relatively large unit, very clean, and being on the fourth floor with an excellent balcony had great views and a place to sit out in the morning with coffee

I may have failed to notice in the description that this apartment is the guest suite located within a residential seniors facility. While all of the residents seemed quite accepting of us, it was a little awkward to be tromping in and out of the place in our cycling shoes/gear a few times each day. Being a secure facility, it is a controlled access building so getting in and out at times is a little challenging. It’s not in the best location either…. While walkable to the downtown part of Cambrai, it’s neither an easy nor very pleasant walk. There is a nice Boulangerie about one block away, but otherwise that’s it.

Excellent, spacious apartment in a old folks retirement block. Very clean, big and tidy rooms with plenty of space to spread out. Huge bathroom and well equipped kitchen area. 1 very comfortable double bed with extremely good linen. I had booked a 2 bedroom apartment for my 53 year old son and I (he snores!) but on arrival there was only a double bed. The receptionist immediately gave us a second similar apartment to solve the problem. The front desk is manned all the time and the strong metal gates (presumably to keep the residents in) are opened as required. Very reasonably priced. I think meals are available in the ground floor restaurant. It was very up-market for the price.

wifi did not work (and it is definitely not an iPhone problem as the lady told us !). We were given a remote for opening the gate that did not work, we were stuck outside late at night ! Could only get in by a bizarre coincidence !!
