Beautiful location, rooms nice and tidy close to other restaurants if needed and a short drive to supermarkets. Nice breakfast too half hour drive to the airport

Only stayed one night as part of a road trip so didn't sample any of the facilities, but walking past the bar and restaurant area everything looked very inviting.
The building appears to be a mix of authentic historic and a more modern extension which gives the best of both worlds. When the weather is clear you can still see the mountains and nearby lake from the lovely hotel grounds.
They have a small primary car park further up the hill that we were not aware of until we carried our bags up the steps. We'd parked in the overflow car park further down.
Shower was on the small side, but not uncommon in this type of accommodation.

Spectacular setting and exterior, great atmosphere.
Beautiful park.
Free parking.
Breakfast was adequate (biased towards sweet flavours)
Room was clean
A good base for visiting places in Ticino
Rooms have seen better days (a long long time ago).
Airco didn’t work, light in the room was broken.
No shower, just an old bathtub (weird impractical layout of the bathroom too).
At checkout they tried to make us pay someone else’s bar bill.
No decent restaurants within walking distance.
Overall this place has potential but is in dire need of a thorough refurbishment.
