The staff are numerous, welcoming, kind and efficient. They clean the room at any time, which for me was a big plus. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the pool is big and the pool area is a lovely place to relax.The savoury breakfast is generous: potatoes, vegetables, beans, sausages... plus a different soup, and a different protein (goat, fish, meatballs, liver, etc.), everyday..Eggs and omelettes are included and are made to order. Fresh fruit, juices, yoghurt and cereals. The area is quiet and safe, the beach is less than 5-minute walk away with good Italian and international dining options.
If you prefer a sweet breakfast, the choice is limited to egg pancakes, bread, butter and jam. Hot water took a little while to arrive in my shower and then became very hot. Getting lukewarm water requires some adjustment and accepting low water pressure. The internet connection in my room was not always reliable.

Kahama Hotel, Mombasa – Review
I had a wonderful stay at Kahama Hotel.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed and pillows made for a great night's sleep.
The staff were warm, friendly, and exceptionally helpful. They also kindly accommodated our request for a late check-out, which we really appreciated.
Breakfast was simple but fresh and satisfying, with enough variety to start the day well.
The location is another highlight—it's within walking distance of the beach and has easy access to local transport, making it convenient to explore the area.
Overall, Kahama Hotel offers excellent value for money, and I'd happily stay here again.
The shower pressure was horrible..
Also on Sunday there is a church nearby that makes noise.
The first night they took us to another hotel due to some repairs.The hotel was very horrible.

I liked the staff, food, and comfort of the beds.
There is need to improve the spa area and our room did not have a fridge to keep our drinks cold. In addition i wish they can put a kettle with cups so that one can cook tea whenever they want.
