Outdoor onsen is beside the river and very beautiful.
There's a snack bar which is fantastic as well with many selections.
Great view from the room.
Friendly staff.
Actually went to the wrong place as they have a branch hotel down the street.
Parking is not sheltered, which was a problem as it was raining heavily when I arrived.
Room might be a bit squeezy.

My family stayed one night at Sansuikan Kawayu Midoriya. By far the best and most memorable stay! The outdoor onsen is gender mixed and my family can finally bath together wearing the ryokan onsen yukata. The boys spent one hour playing at the river. Dinner half board and breakfast are buffet style. Nothing beat having a buffet style breakfast for my fussy kids. Too bad I don’t drink alcohol - too many to choose from. The lounge was perfect for me - complimentary cappuccino and snack. Love the vinegar cider. A great thank to the staff who keep the place clean and efficiently run.
Difficult to find in google map as the name of ryokan appeared only in Japanese.

Every dinner was excellent, with a different menu each day. The buffet selection was also quite extensive, making it perfect for hikers who need to refuel after a long day on the trail.
The middle-aged man at the front desk was extremely rude and impolite. He was unprofessional and clearly not suited to working in the hospitality industry.
