You stay here for the experience and the atmosphere.
It is very authentic, lush gardens, lots of animals, both local and wild
Owner is originally from Belgium, so and so with the English, great spanish but he is great and enthusiastic. This is a private property with few houses in basically a jungle. A place to sit outside, a hammock, a pool we didn't test, a place for clothes to be hung and dried, a fridge, and an outside kitchen. The room is not overly large, but adequate, place for the clothes, nightstands. A mosquito net above the bed, which is necessary here.
Absolute plus was the large water barrel that was gratis. A close by (700m) beach Delgado was very wild and great. Plenty of spaces for a walk or a run. The city itself, Las Galeras, is best reached by a car.
Bathroom was simple. There were no doors to the bathroom, just a curtain, which is a new level of privacy. Very low water pressure, no hot water, but in the hot and humid climate, was not really necessary.
The roosters in the adjacent property are super loud though. Complimentary coffee makes up for it.

We had a great time at La Rancheta and really enjoyed our stay! The owners were super friendly and helpful – they assisted us with everything we needed and gave us great tips about the area.
We were able to rent a scooter directly at the property, which was very convenient. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, with generous portions and freshly prepared. We also loved the many sweet dogs and cats on-site, as well as the beautiful garden, which created a very relaxing atmosphere.
A quiet and lovely beach is just a 5-minute walk away, and with the scooter, it only takes 5 minutes to get into town.
One small downside: the pool was unfortunately empty during our stay, so we couldn’t use it. But since the beach is so close, it wasn’t a big issue for us. The furniture is a bit dated, but that didn’t really bother us.
