Exceptional

Its one of the most incredible stays ever! The property is at the bank of a river and has one of the oldest water mills. The rooms are cozy and the sound of the water gushing next to your room is unbelievable. Extremely beautiful surrounding. What stands out the most is how the local village community is engaged with this hospitality experience and sustainable living. The combination of staying at a spacious comfortable property and still experiencing the village life (village walks, local food, trek to the Hidimba Devi temple) is so unique. Fabulous & pure food at the restaurant. The hosts as well as the team at the property went out of their way to make the stay special for us. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chamba.

Insensitive and unprofessional people

I booked online and while I was on the way and was goin to reach there , I called them for directions and they told me that my booking has been cancelled as u haven’t made payment , however , neither I was intimidated that my booking has been cancelled not I was asked to make any pay ment , and their service executive told me that how can I be confirmed about my booking if I had not made pay ment and as per her , it’s not their responsibility to update me regarding my cancellation or payment requisition , and got txt from apps saying I didn’t show up at property on booking Date ! True a worst experience ever

Rustic charm with great staff

The staff are wonderful & they are what makes this place. Vicky went out of his way to help us & guide us around Chamba. He also organised a very special ceremony for us & we had a lovely evening with him singing karaoke. The chef made us a delicious dinner for my birthday & Surinder was incredibly helpful. The Manager Magandeep was so nice. I can’t fault them at all. The accommodation is basic but comfortable enough if you choose the right option. There are 2 levels to the house. The lower level has a family room & below that a double. Both these rooms are close to the river so were quite dark & damp & the weir rushes down beside them making a lot of noise. The bathrooms are basic. The better option is above the kitchen & is a family maisonette which is nice & has more modern bathrooms & a nice terrace. The house is in a beautiful position by a river with walks to the villages & a lovely community. It is a unique place to stay & a great experience but in my opinion the lower rooms need improvement.

AVOIDABLE

The place is not for senior citizens. The location is not available on the road - NotonMap - Rafi's House across the road is unresponsive, despite waiting for sometime. The wifi facility offered is limited. Travellers should be informed that coverage of VodafoneIdea in HP is very poor. Our all phones are vodafoneidea connections. Moral - carry phones with multiple connections.

Good weekend getaway

The staff is absolutely fabulous. The place transforms into something magical at night. The place takes you directly to the heart of the himachali lifestyle and is nestled at the centre of mountains. Various activities can be planned to experience authentic himachali village life like, crafts, household cooking, trail walks etc. The constant sound of tumbling and flowing water gives a mystical feel. Perfect getaway for couples looking for a short retreat from busy city life. The place is absolutely pet friendly and takes care of their food requirements at a very nominal price.

A bit overpriced. The place is quite far from the nearest town due to the hilly terrain. The entrance to the hotel seemed very shabby. They were coming up with some extension cafes, so a lot of construction sound was heard throughout the day. Too many nosy and loud 'day visitors' at the property on weekends, so be ready to be Stern with the hotel staff to maintain peace and privacy around your room. The curtains are very thin and partially see-through, so have to be very privacy conscious inside the room too. The parking area of the property is literally on the other side of the stream, so getting your luggage to and from the vehicle will be a hassle.

Beautiful property with excellent staff. The food served was delicious. The staff was local and very helpful. They had a cute dog on the premise which brightened our stay.

The entrance to the property from the road should be made more prominent.

Location and the facilities were outstanding. Such a peaceful hotel on the bank of the river is is exceptional. Rooms were super cool and comfortable, with all the facilities. Staffs were really helpful. Food was also quite good, price is bit high though. I would love to go there again

Beautiful and very original property with tons of soul

It is a tourist attraction and destination for non guests and some days it gets a little invasive with all the photo and selfie taking on the premises and it is hard to relax

Avery relaxing experience. We learned a lot from the staff and the local people.

It was in an excellent location, away from the city noise. The food was very good and healthy. The staff were always very pleasant, and never refused any request. The home-cooked lunch that we had at the village home of one of the staff members, and the conversations with their family, was a great experience.

there is nothing that you will not like about this property- from sustainability to good food this one checks all tick boxes- ambience, staff, cleanliness everything is a wow factor. please ask for Mr Manu Handa the best guide and driving company. honest, friendly and very accommodating!

Awesome NotonMap H2O Houses

It's really a difficult question as each and every thing here was awesome and beyond my expectations. Here I mostly enjoyed the nature and the top most behaviour of the NotonMap H2O entire team.

There's no point to dislike about H2O Houses.

H2O stay

Excellent location. The stream concept is unique. Rooms are cosy and well made. Staff correous and hospitable. Homely rustic environment. Food is good

It is at the end a homestay and as expensive as Marriot hotels. Feel a little cheated with the pricing. Don't take credit cards but are available for online booking !!!. One man seems to be managing everything. And if he is driving you cannot contact anyone. Further it is not in Dalhousie but 50 km away in Chamba. Would definitely not go again.
