Very warm welcome from the owner and his mum with a glass of orange juice on a very hot day when we arrived. The owner recommended places where we can eat and what we can do in Split. His recommendations lived up to what we hoped for. He went above and beyond to help us feel welcome. It is wonderful to experience such great kindness and hospitality which is very rare nowadays. In the studio we had everything that we need. There was kitchen area with large fridge. There were two single beds (it was mentioned in the add so we knew it before booking). Bathroom with washing machine that we could use and also a place where to dry clothes.
Clean studio in quiet location. About 20 minute walk to the Old Town and 25 minute walk to the beach.
It was street front studio. The view outside the window consists of multistorey apartment building and some cars that are parked there.
We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Los anfitriones super atentos y amables. La lavadora no iba y vino en seguida la mujer y lo lavó en su casa y nos trajo la ropa ya seca y doblada. Todo un detallazo.
El apartamento era pequeño pero muy cómodo y con todo lo necesario para un par de noches.

The host was extremely obliging and offered to meet me at the ferry terminal when I got there early in the morning so he could collect my luggage to be stored at the accommodation until it was time for check in. He also drove me to the residential area where the property was situated and pointed out a number of key landmarks so I would be able to find it by following the same route from the port. The host's mother who lived above the studio apartment greeted me when I arrived with a glass of orange juice which was a nice gesture. The accommodation inside was very clean and well maintained, with a large fridge, a dining table and two chairs and a compact kitchen equipped with a full stove and oven and ample cooking utensils, including solid stainless steel saucepans which were of high quality. Although not modern, the furnishings were homely. There were two single beds against each wall with a woven rug in between. One of these beds was actually an old style couch which nonetheless was very comfortable for sleeping. There were two decent size wardrobes, one of which had shelving. While small, the bathroom had a front end loader washing machine and laundry detergent available for use by guests which was an absolute bonus and the host showed me where the washing could be hung out to dry around the back of the property in the sunshine. Although it took a bit of searching, the television had several channels featuring popular series and films in English.
The studio apartment I actually stayed in was not the same one that was shown and listed on booking .com. It was a different property in a different location with a different street number and a different street address. The host informed me of this fact when he came to pick me up,. Consequently. it is difficult for me to ascertain whether what I ended up with was better or not as good as what was advertised when I made the initial booking. While perfectly amenable inside, the property was devoid of any charm or ambience outside. It was on the ground floor at street level and fronted directly onto a road with no footpath. On the other side of the road were garages for residents who lived in the high block of flats opposite, with people also parking their cars right next to the actual entrance to the accommodation. Although the studio apartment did have two windows that could be partially opened to let in some fresh air and a glass panel on the bottom of the front door to let in natural light, these all faced the road and hence there was a lack of privacy due to passers by, so it was necessary to have the curtains drawn and blinds partly closed which gave an awful hemmed in feeling. It was a reasonably long trek from the historic centre of Split to reach the accommodation.

Host met us at bus station & took us to property, which was great. He spoke excellent English & provided lots of information about Split; what to see, restaurants & 24-hour bakery, how to find main sights; best banks to change money at lowest costs. Met his mother (also the cleaner; not a lot of English), who provided a welcome drink. Use of washing machine & clothesline much appreciated.
Great location for walking to centre.
Single beds, but we knew that, and managed.
