Lovely cottage with easy access to the beautiful forest of dean

Loved the location, right next to the forest. Comfortable and clean. Lovely big and secure garden.

Few more oven proof dishes would be great. Took a while for the cottage to warm up from our arrival.

We had a lovely break in a great location

Great location, the garden was perfect for our dogs who loved the space

It was my partners 50th, it would of been nice to have had a bbq as the weather was beautiful & we didn’t want to leave our dogs to go out for a meal

Relaxing break close to beautiful Forest of Dean

Very close to the a Forest of Dean. Wide range of equipment in kitchen. Washer, drier, dishwasher. Parking space. Quiet area. Wildlife....! The wild boar visited on three nights outside the garden, but scary but lovely to see them

V narrow access to parking, even in a small car. Cinderford centre holds no appeal and needs regeneration

A quiet relaxing base for exploring the area

A comfortable cottage that has been carefully modernised, with an extensive garden on a quiet lane in Ruspidge. Easy parking. Brilliant shower! Good bike storage place at the back of the house. Very good communication from the property manager.

Cute cottage in middle of all the fun activities! Great outdoor space for children of all ages

Location easy access to forest and not far from wales had lunch there!

Very good

The location on the edge of the Forest was great and enabled us to enjoy traffic free bike rides. The garden was a lovely sunny space to relax in and enjoy a beer after a long day cycling.

Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Private driveway. nice gardens.

tv quite small. no coffee table. bathroom a little petit, shower cubicle could do with a door to prevent everything getting wet.

Best holiday home stay.

Lovely and clean home, with all homely necessities available for use! Great host who answered all questions quickly. The gardens were peaceful and mowed. One of the best stays I've had. Will highly recommend and will be staying there again!

it was a beautiful little cottage and we thourghly enjoyed our stay.

we liked everything; the living room was cosy the kitchen had easy access and a lovely table to sit at. The bathroom was nice and clean with a good shower. The beds were comfy. The house was tidy and clean. The garden was nice and big aswel which is useful if your taking your dog.

the property was all up to wonderful standards and felt like a home from home.

The pub was closed for a refurb! Haha. Not the lovely Peacock cottages fault though!

Great cosy property with lovely features and well equipped.

A few niggles, bathroom light didnt work when we arrived although very quickly resolved, no fire lighters for the log burner and no extra fire wood in the garden like advised. it was a very very cold weekend so the log burner would have been great. downstairs bathroom not ideal.

it’s a beautiful cottage in a lovely location. has everything you need for a short or long stay and is very comfortable for 4 people.

Could do with a couple of lights along the path to the drive. had a few trips up the steps.

Superb

Nice and quiet with lovely view out the front. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen.

Cinderford but, you are far enough away. Bring your own logs, kindling, firelighters and matches for the log burner. Sky tv is very dated and just basic channels, no pause, rewind etc. Beware, Peacock Lane is very narrow at 1 point so a RangeRover type SUV, may struggle to get through.

Relaxing break in the forest

We loved everything about the cottage. It was very comfortable, nicely furnished, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The central heating is very efficient and we also lit the wood burner just to enjoy having a real fire. We loved the large rear garden with a lovely view over to the forest and the outside seating areas. It was great not having to get into the car in order to enjoy the beautiful forest walks which are literally on the doorstep. We’ll definitely be back again next year.

Reasonable

The access to the property was down an extremely narrow lane. If you’ve got a wide car, 4x4 then you will struggle.

Some of the basics you’d expect from a cottage these days. No welcome pack, no hand sanitizer or obvious Covid related precautions, the towels were aged and lack of wood for the fire.
