Location was very good. Breakfast - OK
The one double bed was too small for comfort. But, the hosts rectified this immediately by adding a second single bed.

We really enjoyed our stay with Bart and Christa, who were SO lovely and friendly! Nora and wee Roxy were great too! The gardens are extensive and SO beautiful. The area feels safe and secure. If you want a super relaxing break, then this is it!! It is truly, a home from home and great value for money!! We would highly recommend it!! Xxx

The location is in a quiet, neat, good and save neighborhood of Roodepoort.
My room was upstairs, which meant climbing a very long staircase inside the house. That was fine by me.
I had voluntarily swapped rooms with someone who has trouble climbing stairs. He got a ground-floor room with a beautiful view at the back of the house.
One downside, in my opinion, is that access to the rooms is through the main front door, meaning you have to walk through the homeowners' living room. They are nice people, though.
By now, I knew that many guesthouses in South Africa do not offer breakfast. So, for this trip, I specifically selected places that included breakfast. However, I’ve learned that this usually means breakfast supplies are set out for you, but you have to handle the rest yourself. Depending on the price range, the breakfast provisions tend to range from mediocre to decent.
I would classify "At the View" as "decent."
