As a first time capsule hotel guest, I didn’t fully understand how everything worked, including taking off my shoes, but another guest kindly explained it all. Initially, I thought I wouldn’t be able to sleep in a capsule, but I did and it all worked out well! The onsen was a highlight, and the location near Shimbashi Station was great.
It would be more convenient to have towels available upstairs rather than at reception.

The rooms were alike warm I had to open the privacy screen through out the night to cool down

The free breakfast and dinner was amazing. The massage chairs - incredible. The place was so quiet, all the other women there were so respectful. It was very relaxing and the staff were very accommodating. We had these cute little capsules that were great and they allowed us to store our luggage for an hour after check out which was super helpful. Checkout is at 12pm which is nice. Theres a family mart across the road, a 7-10min walk to the train station and 10-15min walk from Ginza and 7-10min walk to lots of restaurants in the Shiodome area. I would recommend this Anshin Oyado over the other one in Shiodome as that one is by a loud train and lots of busy restaurants.
There is only one private shower, otherwise there’s a lot of public showers in the onsen. I had my period, so I could only use the private shower and felt bad if I took too long so I didn’t wash my hair or shave or anything. It also was a bit hot and cold - the temperature wasn’t steady. The lockers are a little difficult to have to keep going down to the 2nd floor if ever I wanted something from the my larger bags. However, in the grand scheme of things, these were small issues compared the amazing amenities, spaces to do makeup, sit and eat, get ready etc. The toilets were so nice with bidets and always so clean and tidy. And they give you cute pajamas to wear and towels.

All your basic needs are met under one roof: shelter, food, safety and a quiet place to sleep. The place is excellent value. You have a good sized locker to store your values and belongings. There is an additional space to lock a suitcase to a rack outside of the sleeping area. There is a small repacking area by the luggage rack. My favourite thing was the massage chairs. It’s nice that there is a spa with onsen/sauna on 8th floor. It’s a short walk to Shimbashi Station. The decor is cute and inviting, taking inspiration from Thailand and Indonesia. The sleeping area was very quiet. There is extra security for the sleeping area because you use a security bracelet to get in, just don’t forget it if you have to use the toilet in the middle of the night.
You need to be a master planner to figure out the multi level format. For example storage lockers are on the second floor, towels are on the first floor but the onsen is on the 8th floor. If you have more than one bag or suitcase you are going to be keeping track of your stuff on multiple floors. Just be prepared that until you have a system worked out, it will take extra time and you may have a little less fun picking out an outfit for the day. When it’s busy, it’s as if you are always standing in the wrong place and of course the onsen can get very busy. If it was too busy in the hot tub, I just popped into the sauna and then had a cold shower. Although you are surrounded by people, everyone tends to keep to themselves. I think this is intended to be respectful and for many people to live together in a small space with order. However, socially it struck me as a bit dull and disappointing.
