This is an authentic and honest Kiwi pub that reminded me of the New Zealand that I lived in as a child. The owners were warm and welcoming people and I enjoyed my stay.

Cosy old fashioned pub atmosphere, decent value for money for the type of accommodation it is. Friendly staff, and choice of dinner in the pub or make your own with the guest kitchen facilities. Would happily stay there again

OK the pub is old but the owners keep it very clean and tidy.
The pub meals were excellent.
The owners lent us an extention cord to charge our bike batteries and a hose to clean the bikes.
We enjoyed our two night stay.

Beds a bit past it, room by road, beer odour, wash room, closeness of front room to road. Broken glass on doors to bar.
