We’d definitely recommend Clydestay to our friends and would stay their again, a lovely property and friendly hosts.

The owners were very accommodating and let us put our Classic car in their garage which was great, good facilities and lovely and clean.

we booked this property and on the morning of travelling there had an e.mail cancelling it. not very pleased!!

Avoid if possible

Location good.

Not cleaned properly between guests,including previous guests socks behind chair. Kitchen and bathroom essentials not replenished. TV not working, minor breakages ( outside stool, inside chair and heater) not repaired. Cluttered and expensive for what it offered,compared to the other two excellent places we stayed at in Clyde.

beautiful outlook and well appointed place

very small space and need to bring own clothes hangers and find somewhere for everything else

we will definitely be back again , we loved it, we will bring a little gas cooker.stunning location.

we absolutely loved the location. The view looking from the bed was exceptional, like a picture postcard. the garden was stunning. the host was lovely and he let us put our ebikes in the garage and arranged a plug etc to charge. he gave us advice where to ride , the tunnel to get to clyde was cool. loved clyde and its close to lots of things. it was raining one day so we drove to wanaka . it was very close.

the internet didnt work very well, but we didnt come to be on our phones, so we just used our own plan. we wanted to cook, so the facilities werent really up to cooking for us for 4 days. the bbq was very weak so didnt really cook and there was no real benchspace.

Disappointing

The bed and shower were great.

Not enough attention to detail. It wasn’t the special place I had hoped for my wife’s birthday particularly given the price I paid.

Charming and relaxing accommodation in gorgeous rural setting.

Very friendly hosts with an absolutely charming property. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and we particularly enjoyed sitting on the patio at the end of the day looking across the fields out to the mountains- so picturesque and relaxing. The property is handy to both Alexandra and Clyde but is a rural setting so you need a car. Set in gorgeous landscape perfect for cycling through the vineyards and along the Clutha river. Thank you Mick and Karen for a wonderful stay - we will definitely return!
