Tikkandi is a two storey property with two large bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a large bedroom and bathroom featuring a huge double shower downstairs. Each bedroom has a queen size bed with an electric blanket, down doona, pillows, high quality linen and clock radio. Well appointed bathrooms with luxurious cotton towels invite you to indulge in one of two relaxing spa baths. The property is self catered. Complimentary specialty teas and coffee is provided. Once booked, you have exclusive use of the property.

A really lovely stay at a beautiful locale in a well fitted out property. The house is very comfortable with cosy beds, well sorted kitchen and the living space is soo nice with its well supplied open fire. Communicating with the host was easy and responsive, not that there were any issues with the property just shuffling dates. The locale is quiet, peaceful and while not next to the river you can hear it when it is running well. It’s a great balance between being on Buller or camped in Mansfield. Being able to see the mountains with the morning sun, hear the birds and watching deer and roos out the back window. It all makes for a wonderful stay. Soo note to plan our next visit. Thank you Michael, Nic and family.

As fab as pictures show. However views from windows make you feel quite isolated yet you are in a street of houses. Kamgaroo and deer out the back in a meadow surrounded by trees. Views from each windows of autumnal folage and mountains away off. Ideal for groups as multiple dining and lounging spots. Bring nescaffe pods! We left some but coffee drinkers will require. Shop not opened up the main road. BOMA open for coffee and cakes and bread made in real wood fore oven from 10am at the moment. Brilliant for dinner too.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It had all we needed and was very comfortable. The views around are spectacular and it is a short drive to lots of beautiful hikes and walks. As the house supplies all the linen and towels it made getting away for a couple of nights easy.

We had a wonderful stay, the pictures didn’t do justice at just how comfortable and inviting the property was. The fireplace was a highlight as was the well equipped large kitchen. Close to the mountain and had everything we could have wished for. We will be back!

We loved spending the weekend here. The house was very clean and functional and easy to get to the snow at Mt Buller. The Mill Inn down the road has the best meals too ! A total hidden gem. Very comfortable and warm with all amenities and some luxuries - including amazing water pressure and the best tasting water !

We stayed at Tikkandi over the Australia Day weekend. It was spacious and comfortable and was ideal for couples and children. The location was great and allowed us to cover off what we had planned for the weekend. The booking process was hassle free and we could easily stay at Tikkandi again in the future. Thanks again!

Warning! Do NOT fall for their cheap rates ! the owner took a bond from us and never returned $100 of that bond money. During our stay we brought a safety issue to his attention and despite lateron realising this was a false alarm, he took the liberty of taking $100 out of our bond! Since then he hasnt been returning calls and never returned the money despite having agreed to give our money back! Be Warned!!!

Tikkandi measured up to the expectations, which we had gleaned not only from the initial advertisement, but from the early phone call/ email from Michael, which explained everything that we need to know about the layout and running of the house. The house was clean, very tidy and above all else very well appointed. In particular, the heating arrangements, ( air con and open fire provided a warmth which enabled great conversations, lots of board games, videos and of course a fine array of reading material. Great kitchen, although bbq was to good to not put into use for our roasts and grill nights. Fortunately for me, but not my younger fellow travellers, not having a great wi fi or technological connection to free to air tv provided a stumbling block. All said, I would happily recommend Tikkandi to any traveller looking for respite in great surroundings.

Perfect

Stayed for 5 nights over the Easter break. Very comfortable and well appointed house, perfect for 2 small families. Great position half way between Mt Buller and Mansfield with a lovely Italian restaurant at the end of the street. Very quiet with a lovely outdoor deck and views to Mt Buller. Looking forward to our return visit!
