Absolutely loved this cottage and location. We brought our boat where the dock was feet away from the cottage, which made getting on and off the water a breeze. Owner was wonderful with any questions we had. We would love to come yearly and stay here. LOVED

The location was great. The place was lovely. It had pretty much everything you would need. If you like a very firm bed you will love this place. It was a bit loud at times with all the boat traffic and lots of motorcyclists but it is Laconia so you can’t avoid that.

My family and I had a great vacation on the Island. Kem was extremely generous and the rental was extremely clean! We saw baby snapping turtles, a bald eagle as well as very friendly ducks at the beach. We look forward to coming here every year! Thanks Kem for all your hospitality!!

This was a beautiful condo that sat right on the water. A little disappointed that the “private beach” meant a very small beach down the road. I guess I was wrong to assume that a private beach meant we had a private beach.

This was our first family trip to the lakes (NH), and it was fantastic. Perfect Accommodations, Desired privacy, incredible serenity of the lake could hardly describe the experience. We still have mental picture of the lake as seen from our patio or deck. Kids spent 3 hrs nonstop in the lake. Property is as described and reviewed many times over - clean, comfortable and welcoming. Coming back next year.

This is our second time staying at this property. It is a beautiful spot right on the water. The view is amazing and the cottage is adorable. Couldn't be happier with the location and the owner is very responsive and very nice. We look forward to continuing to visit!

Check in was a breeze and the cottage was everything we were expecting. It had everything we needed for our stay. The neighbors were friendly. The view from the cottage is breathtaking. We were close enough to explore the lake, mountains, and also enjoy the Mount Washington cruise. We cannot wait to spend Columbus Day Weekend there!

The lovely cottage is set close to the water and is perfect for catching sun rises and sunsets. A large rock close to the water is great for de-stressing and listening to the waves while watching the ducks and cute chipmunks. There is ample seating on both the patio close to the water and the deck off of the kitchen. I would love to return when the leaves are changing. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage was exactly as advertised and very clean for our week long stay away from the Florida heat and humidity. Kem, the owner was in immediate contact by text and email from two weeks before until our arrival. The location is perfect and the views were phenomenal. I took several beautiful sunrise and sunset photos from the upstairs deck and downstairs patio with Adirondack chairs. The cottage was roomier than expected, but there is a steep curving stairway right by the front door leading to the lower level. We are in our 70’s and active, but were very careful going up and down. My husband swam from the lovely private beach a few steps away, although the water was very cold and the bottom a bit rocky.

We really enjoyed our week at the cozy little cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee. The island that the cottage is on is well-maintained and pretty. We especially enjoyed looking at the lake from the upstairs living room and downstairs bedrooms. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. Kem was a great host and made the process very easy. Hope to return in the future!

The cottage was the perfect getaway for us in October. It was beautifully clean and as advertised, just feet away from the water's edge. Even though the temps were cool, the afternoon sun warmed the deck and patio so it was comfortable to relax outside. The location was in good proximity to many hiking trails. I appreciated that the kitchen was fully equipped; we only ate in the cottage, avoiding dining out due to the pandemic. Kem's instructions were flawless and we didn't need to contact him with any questions. I would definitely consider renting the cottage again.

My wife and I were very pleased with the advertisement of the cottage as it was just the way it was described. Communication with the owner was super easy, the cottage was in a quiet location right on the lake with a wonderful view from the upstairs deck and downstairs patio. We had all the amenities we could want. The location is close to many attractions so we were able to enjoy the lake, hikes in some nearby state parks, Mt Washington, enjoyed some good meals out, dined in on the deck and we even rented a pontoon boat from Winni Marina which we drove around the Lake for the day! Wonderful relaxing week. Thank you

Spent an amazing week at The Small Cottage (Sept 12-19, 2020)! Kem was a terrific host, who was very responsive prior to and during our stay. We loved everything about the cottage -- particularly the cleanliness, the availability of everything that we needed, and those views! Loved waking up to a view of the lake from the bedroom. We will certainly return again!

We had a relaxing week at The Small Cottage Sept 5-12, 2020. Kem was a great host. We found the cottage meticulously clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. After Labor day, the whole area quieted down and the lake was peaceful and beautiful. Great communication with Kem before, during and after our stay, and he quickly answered the few questions we had. We hope to stay again in the future.
