Beaucoup de charme

Wonderful

Friendly owners, free parking, clean rooms, good breakfast. Good location in town of Cavtat, close beaches, places to eat, bus station to ride to Dubrovnik.

Clean, tidy, and affordable by Cavtat standards. Excellent breakfast.

The hostess, Zora, was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Everything was clean.

This place should really be classed as a guesthouse or b&b rather than a hotel. I filtered my search for hotels only, so the place was not as we expected (24 hr reception for instance, since we were coming in late). Cash payment was required. Noise from guests on adjoining balcony and planes overhead (on the flight path for Dubrovnik airport).

Exceptional

Zori was an excellent host. She's very kind and polite, and her commitment to the hotel was extraordinary. Regarding the breakfast, which was very good, we want to remark on the homemade apple cake, which is a delight. Every room has a unique decoration, and the cleaning was formidable. Above all, the most valuable part of her and her husband is how welcoming, warm and generous they are. We felt at home and we are so grateful that we want to come again as soon as possible.

A comfortable house on a hill with the amazing lady Zora.

Very hospitable Zora. Lovely lady, extremely nice and friendly. A pleasant room in a purple color had a positive effect on our well-being. The bed is comfortable. The room was cleaned daily. Air conditioning is working efficiently. Functional bathroom, equipped with towels, cleaning products and a hair dryer. Delicious breakfasts, a huge selection. You can eat whatever you want. Hot, cold, sweet and savory dishes - everyone will find something for themselves. Various drinks - coffee, tea (several types), water, juices, kefir and milk. A beautiful coffee service absolutely stole my heart :-) Our plane was departing in the late afternoon, there was no problem to leave our luggage and go to enjoy the last hours in a beautiful place. Cavtat is a charming little town. Close to every place, you will reach your destination in minutes. The town is situated on a hill, which may be problematic for some people. I recommend Zora's house with full responsibility. Thank you Zora for everything. We will come back to you for sure.

Lovely small friendly hotel, but a need to be fit and able

Very clean and good breakfast

Close to main centre but up a big hill. - you can get a taxi but have to pay the minimum charge which is €10 - so expensive if you cannot walk for the short distance involved (less than a minute in a cab)

Excellent, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Breakfast was excellent, very varied with lots of choice. Balcony ideal for sitting outside morning and evening. The owners were very kind and helpful for example re booking taxi and arranging an early breakfast. WiFi worked well.

No problems with anything. Location is good being above the old town. Walking up the hill was not difficult and was good for our health.

Superb

Mrs Zora and her husband are wonderful hosts who are ready to fullfill all your request. Also are happy to answer all your questions , even loads like in my case. Always with lovely sunny smile :) . The hotel is very clean, you feel like there like at home! Spacious with tarases, place for barbecuing etc. The cherry on top is that they are fun people ready to chat and hanging around with you in the garden ( if it is what you want). If you want to get an organic local experience without filters, hostel Haus am Mer is the right choice! The real is good! These lovely couple speaks croatian, german and english so there is no problem with comunication. I recomeend it for 100000 procent!

Lovely place with very kind owners

Great place for staying in Cavtat. It’s slightly more on expensive side like most of the things in Cavtat comparing to other places in Croatia, but overall it was great. Owners are great and very positive, it has good localisation close to beaches and centre and you can use beach equipment available to all guests. Only parking was slightly tricky as this is private property without too much space for cars, and sometime we had to switch places with other guests if we wanted to leave early morning, but owners helped to organise that and it went smoothly. Highly recommended!

accommodation was great, weather was 95% sunny, Zora the owner has a beautiful place.

Large choice for breakfast. Very pleasant outdoor seating. The owner Zora is extremely friendly and makes you feel so welcome. The accommodation is spotlessly clean. Room allocated had magnificent views of the mountains and the sea.

Very basic accommodations with a nice breakfast and very close to the airport.

The owners were very nice and even drove us to town.

We did not know that the hotel’s credit card machine had been broken for 2 weeks. Because it was the last night for us in Croatia we had spent our kunas down and had to go to town to exchange more money. I feel 2 weeks was enough time to notify me via email to be prepared in Kunas. And we had asked for and been granted early check in around 11:00 am but our room was not ready until 2:00 pm.

Stunning scenery but a car is very helpful. Beware there are no beaches!!

The host was attentive & helpful. Hotel was quirky but slightly dated but everything was spotlessly clean

Location up a steep hill from the town & would affect you if you had any walking issues. Hotel directly under the flight path but no flights a t night so not really a problem.
