Fell in love with Kalkan. Stunning views. Stunning sea. Will be back!
Internal dining area and food on offer basic. However, sitting on the terrace - views are stunning. Staff friendly and attentive.
More variety of food available, pancakes / croissants etc for the kids.

Excellent hotel, great location right by the water and away from the centre.
We have stayed at the Kulube time after time over 30 years or so. Always a pleasure. It is away from the town centre and unusually for Kalkan has its own easy private access to the sea so great for swimming. The staff are invariably friendly and helpful and some have been there for decades.
Can't fault the hotel though the steps up and down to the beach are getting steeper as we get older.... Kalkan was a small village resort when we first came, now it has expanded enormously as a popular international destination and can get very crowded.

Great location
The location was amazing
Our air con in our bedroom didn't work at all. Also, I believe that some rooms had been updated.... but unfortunately not ours!

Perfect holiday
We highly recommend this hotel having just stayed there for 10 nights. We stayed in the grand suite in the old part of the complex - it was basic in decor, the bathroom was a little tired looking but it all worked perfectly. The suite was really large (more like an apartment) which suited our family (two teenagers) - we had a large double room with balcony, they had a twin room - both rooms had their own bathrooms. There was a spacious lounge, fridge and three other balconies, one with chairs and a table. Air con throughout which was needed. The suite we spotless upon arrival and the cleaners came in every day and did a fantastic job. The rest of the resort was lovely - the one bedroom properties are opposite the building with the suites and some had their own infinity pool. The whole complex is spread out on the side of a hill with olive, lime and pomegranate trees. There were three pools and access to the sea. Views from everywhere are amazing. Food was excellent, really reasonably priced and staff were friendly and attentive. We went during the COVID pandemic - staff wore masks, there was hand sanitiser everywhere, we were given individually wrapped sanitising wipes and cutlery was individually wrapped. Breakfast was served rather than buffet and there was plenty of room for social distancing. We only had to wear masks when we were in reception or when on transport taxis). We had our temperature taken too a few times when we went on trips. Overall we felt safer in Turkey than in the UK! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back again.
The only criticism was the greeting we (didn’t) have on arrival. The receptionist cheeked us in, took us to our room and told us only breakfast was between 8-10am. He didn’t offer any more info or show us where things like the restaurants were. We know Kalkan and had visited the hotel before so we weren’t concerned but for someone new it could be off putting.
