Close to where we wanted to go a good central place to stay
Not all rooms have air con, when there is a function would be really good to offer paying residence a cold option I.e sandwiches as the function took precedence over paying guest not good at all

Arrival was all in order and the very pleasant lady on reception spoke perfect English albeit not essential for us. There was sufficient parking within the grounds of the Hotel. The room was of an acceptable size, clean, good shower and good quality bedding. Breakfast was of a typical continental style and was plentiful and fresh. The Mohnesee Dam is a 50 minute drive and well worth a visit.
We went out all day on the Saturday and only had a light lunch in the town of Paderborn. As such, when we returned in the evening we were looking forwards to a nice meal and a few drinks. To our amazement, the restaurant and bar facilities in the hotel were all closed so there was no food or drink available other than the mini bar in the room. This to me is unacceptable, that in a four star hotel, not to be able to get a meal or drink in the evening is out of order. When I enquired about this at reception I was told that there is a problem getting staff at the weekends. Had I have known this we would have chosen another hotel which somewhat spoilt our stay.
