We stayed here again from August 29–31 and overall had a pleasant experience. Our first assigned room (241) had an old and very saggy bed, despite our request for a queen-size bed. After a long journey, it was quite uncomfortable. Thankfully, the staff were very accommodating and transferred us to Room 419, which was spacious and much more comfortable. The road noise from the window was noticeable but still tolerable.
We especially enjoyed the breakfast, with many choices and excellent service. A special mention to the Filipino staff in the breakfast area, who was very warm and accommodating. We also enjoyed dinner at the 5th-floor restaurant—the food was great and the staff were attentive.
The gym, pool, and spa were also enjoyable. Overall, we had a good stay and appreciated the hotel’s hospitality and quick response to our concern.
What could be improved:
We were uncomfortable when housekeeping entered our room without knocking, even though the “Please make up our room” sign was placed outside. My husband was inside at the time and was undressed, so we felt that knocking or confirming before entering would have been more appropriate. We also found the pillows quite small and too soft/saggy. We hope the hotel can provide larger and more comfortable pillows in the future.

You can tell that this hotel used to be Grand. There are some impressive structural features. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice.
The place feels tired, the sofa bed in our room was broken, the tv didn’t work, the walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours talking. The spa is disappointing, the sauna was closed so there’s only a steam room, a jacuzzi and a cold pool. The breakfast was sad, it felt cheap. The juice is watered down, the meat and cheese was processed, etc.
