Perfect location! Right in the middle of Florence. I think it’s worth the money to stay in town. It will save you money and a headache trying to get a taxi. I read some other reviews had issues with the noise from the pub downstairs. We stayed Friday-Sunday and had jet lag so were up at all hours. We could hear a little bit in the distance from downstairs for a couple hours but it certainly was not enough to be unpleasant. Would only be an issue if you need complete silence to sleep in which case staying in the city may not be the best option for you
There are a couple steps to get to the lift but steps are expected when travelling to Italy and it did not take away from the accomodation for us.

The accommodation was absolutely fantastic. It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and located right in the heart of Florence. All the major attractions were within easy walking distance.
Our host, Anna, was warm, kind, and incredibly helpful. She was always willing to answer our questions and explain everything in detail. Before we arrived, she sent us clear and detailed instructions, and when we checked in, she even gave my friend and me a marked map of the city with useful recommendations.
Accommodation is such an important part of any trip, and I wholeheartedly recommend staying here if you are visiting Florence. I'm sure you won't regret it!
