A wonderful stay. The hotel was a fabulous retreat surrounded by trees in a quiet location.

We chose this hotel primarily because of its location, and in that respect it fully met our expectations. It is very close to one of the best beaches on the island. The owners are friendly and happy to provide useful items such as umbrellas whenever needed. They also prepare different homemade-style main dishes and appetizers every day. Breakfast consists of four fixed options; in my opinion, it is perfectly adequate, but not quite as exceptional as the Booking reviews might suggest.
In our room (301), the Wi-Fi did not work at all, and mobile data reception was also very weak. It felt like this was a known issue, yet no real effort had been made to address it. If internet access is important to you, I would recommend confirming the situation with the hotel before booking.
Although the hotel is located right by the sea, the balcony layout makes it surprisingly difficult to enjoy the view. When two people are sitting outside, the person with the sea view has to sit with their back to the table. Ironically, the only spot where the Wi-Fi had any chance of working was the chair that did not face the sea.
Considering the price level on the island, I would have expected a room costing around €140 per night to include tea and coffee facilities, daily replenished bottled water, and a few basic bathroom amenities. None of these were provided. There is also no complimentary tea or coffee available anywhere on the property; even your first morning coffee is charged separately. These were significant drawbacks for me. That said, I would probably stay here again because of the location, but I think it is useful for future guests to know what to expect.
